When I turn on the lights of the M561 while the jump cable is still connected to the M151, the instruments, lights and flasher are also not working. Will spend some time on looking for a damaged cable. Had a similar problem with the connection between tractor and carrier a few years ago. Finally...
Cables between batteries and chassis are good.
Checked on the terminal strip today. All lugs have 25V (only lug #1 has 0V where cable #15 is connected). When turning the master switch ON, the voltage goes down to 1.25V on all lugs.
Where to start now?
Ulf uploaded in 2014 the TM 9-2320-242-34 (Direct Support, General Support and Maintenance Manual)
On page 1-9 there should be the wiring diagram for the tractor, engine compartment and carrier. Unfortunately these pages of the PDF are incomplete and don't show the complete picture.
Can...
Today I wanted to wash and prepare the Goat for an event we have here next weekend. 1st start the Goat. Nothing happened. No instruments, no starter, absolutely nothing.
So I took my M151 and the jump start cable. The goat starts immediately. But the instruments still don't work, the light...
@jasonjc We are talking abount $200 for just a few bolts plus shipping. Just yellow galvanized, not gold-plated.
@Mullaney Yes, it is the shoulder. The bolts are 1 1/2" long, the thread length is just 3/4".
I've read in another topic, that one should stay away from fully threaded bolts because...
I am in the middle of my M35A2 restoration. Where do I find the bolts for the propeller shafts? From the TM it is NSN 5306-00-752-1001, P/N 7521001.
Thanks a lot in advance for your hints,
Richard
Purchased a set of seat cushions a couple of years ago. Promised condition: NOS. After receiving and unpacking the canvas was rotted, broken and a mouse liked the material, too
Had a chance to take pictures today. The retainer damaged the thread on the yoke. The retainer with rubber and washer I found on the Internet. But you cannot screw it any longer on the yoke's thread.
Thanks,
Richard

The result of the test drive ...
We found the source of the noise.
On the carrier's drive shaft there is a bearing in a rubber block. This bearing has broken down into its components. I found a new one that is now waiting to be installed. Unfortunately, the damaged bearing also...
Some progress ....
Because of all the oil in the bay, I had the engine at an engine repair shop for Detroit Diesel in Nuremberg, Germany. The engine came home with new gaskets all around, a new NOS radiator, a new NOS clutch disc and the blower was changed (I had a used one here in better...
