    truly the ultimate suv

Agreed. I'm not even going to get back into the discussion of chrome on MVs but I think you know what I'm thinking, lol.

Equipment's last deployment is to the bottom of the ocean

Agreed. Nothing comes for free and frankly I'm ashamed to see this sort of thing posted here at SteelSoldiers. You people should know better.

    Unloading my new M35A3

Nothing as far as I can can tell. Looks like someone is just trying to drum up a sale or something.

    Hemtt Fire Sale!

Near as I can tell only the fuel tanker int he last pic is a HEMTT variant but if these are in Pakistan, them it's very likely these are pics of destroyed NATO convoy vehicles and therefore violates the no posting of battle damaged vehicles rule.

Where do you all get your old Dodge truck parts from?

OEM would imply that it was manufactured by Chrysler as OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. On the other hand there is a '72 CrewCab Camper Special for sale on RCC recently that had dual tanks and the pics only show the one inlet on the cab, so maybe it's just an odd setup used for...

Where do you all get your old Dodge truck parts from?

It's been a while since I looked at that setup in the '72-'81 Mopar Parts Manual but I do not remember it filling from the same inlet at the cab. If I remember right, many of the sweptside trucks that had only the tank in the cab still had a dummy filler on the bedside. Is it possible it is...

Where do you all get your old Dodge truck parts from?

So you have both tanks under the truck, one side tank and one in the rear like a Ramcharger or you have one in the cab and the 2nd tank is a side tank?

Where do you all get your old Dodge truck parts from?

It may not be. Most of the 2nd tanks used in Dodge trucks are just Ramcharger tanks stuck in where the spare tire would normally be but in '72, there were no Ramchargers since they didn't come out until '74. To make it more interesting, '72 was the first year for the D/W body style, so it's...

Where do you all get your old Dodge truck parts from?

Sending unit and pickup assemblies are a sore spot with most old Dodge trucks. There are a few available but you may have to get them for a different year and then modify it to fit your tank depth and so the gauge will read correctly.

    Cummins 6BT in M880-Pitfalls?

The trucks with the D61/D71 combo with 3.07 gears are the W series trucks in either 250 or 350 that have the normal 727 3 speed auto. The '91 and up trucks generally have a 4 speed auto with a normal D60/D70 and deeper gears. Also no 5 speed manual truck would have the D61/D71 combo.

    Stacks possible?

Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should.

    5-ton gun trucks in Iraq?

I don't think we are allowed to post pics of battle damaged vehicles here.

    Desert Cammo

The manual on the site is too old for M880s. I think it's dated 1975 or so. There is one with M880s in it I think. I'd swear I've seen it. I wonder if there was another revision done before the switch to 3 color NATO?

Where do you all get your old Dodge truck parts from?

Sign up over at RamchargerCentral.com. There is no better place on the Internet for parts and info for Dodge D and W series trucks.

    4wd system

Most likely. For some reason people think that removing the front shaft somehow eliminates the drag from the front axle. Unless a hub conversion has been done, the axle is still fully engaged. To make it even more senseless those that have done the full part time conversion report very little...

    My new uh-1e marine helo.

Looks awesome to me. I think I would consider welding some short pieces of tubing to the trailer to use as a receiver for posts holding a rope. Angle them out and at a good length and you will have a nice way to rope it off that is attached to the trailer that goes all the way around the...

    I found a V8 Deuse

I asked around a bit and so far no one remembers the name of the dealership in Lynchburg. If I can find out I'll post it up.

    I found a V8 Deuse

That was Dressler Motors here in town. I worked for them for many years. I was the Parts Manager in the early to mid '90s for the Dressler family. It was my nagging that got the owners son and then Dealer Principal to pull the Daytona down from storage upstairs and let me clean it up and put...

    I found a V8 Deuse

Perhaps, but I would hazard to say that most Max Wedge engines had 4 bolt valve covers. The originals did for sure and I have seen several Stage III 426 engines that still use the 4 bolt covers.
