Things are good I just got back from the NC rally are you going to Ga? Oh it may not take much motor oil to darken it plenty..your transmission connection may have WMO also.
Yes any diesel will run on ATF. As far as red color well just add a little WMO (which turns it black) as that new ultra low sulpher diesel needs the added lubrication from WMO for our old trucks RIGHT?
While I agree that we should drive defensively and be courteous, I disagree that we should just wave when someone cuts us off. I was in a convoy (at the NC rally this weekend) we were going to Golden Corral for dinner. There were several Deuces and CUCV's in a line spaced accordingly for a safe...
Yes we saw the black an blue Deuce. It actually left out right before us and we caught up to it on (hwy 47) . I want to thank everyone for another outstanding rally. As always it's great to see everybody and their MV's I always leave with new friends great memories, new stories (and quotes) and...
Add me to the list too. Neil is one of the few really great people I know, and am proud to call my friend. It was outstanding to see you again sir at the NC rally. I hope we can get together again at the Ga Rally.
+1 on the steel kevlar sandwich. Use a bedcoating like por or rhinoliner as the media to water proof in between layers . The first steel sheet opens up the projectile the kevlar catches the spalling and the last sheet catches any residual. I'm not saying this would stop 50 cal but it would be...
I think you will contine to see prices on all trucks go up as the dollar loses value. This is natural as commodities are a store of value and will go up in cost as the currency is devalued for extreme versions see Weimar Republic Germany and Argentina, or maybe the US in a few years. Gold for...
What problems did you have associated with the cdr failure anyway? My truck has been become progressively harder to start and hard restart when hot too.I have systematically replaced the old filter with a spin on (I had no problems then and it ran great for years after) new filter two days ago...
Best to go through the cable connections and clean them with fine sandpaper till they shine same with fuse legs, and fuse block. I started at the batteries and then the fuses/block. all my electrical gremlins went away. I don't even have the glow on gen 1 when pulling a load such as lights and...
Seems like they would have found a way to protect the air lines from the chance of a exhaust leak. I think I would try to figure out how to replace the plastic line with something more robust in potentially hot areas if it were my truck.
Well, I haven't gotten to it yet as life got in the way. But it happens when I am using medium to heavy braking to stop, then when I let off the brakes (to move through a stop sign for example) is when the clunk happens.
You have a loose or damaged battery cable. I had the same thing happen to me about 2 weeks ago. Mine was the jumper between the two batteries. While I was fixing it I roughed up the battery posts and tightened the new cable on real good.
