    MEP-802A Wiring and setting help

Open the control panel and make sure it's switched to 120\240 Line 1 usually black to L1 Line 2 usually red to L3 Neutral white to L0 Ground green\bare to chassis Once running you need to move the circuit interruptor switch to close The meter select knob is incidental. It won't impact...

    Load shedding?

The quick and dirty way: a programmable thermostat to disable the AC at set times then a timer on the water heater. I recommend timers on heaters to begin with as they help increase the efficiency. The down side here is they are not Interlocked together

    Load shedding?

Hell, you're close enough I could help you wire it.

    Load shedding?

Oh now this is right up my alley. How automatic do you want to go?

    MEP 804A RETAPPING

If you really really want to you can set the unit to 416 volt and use transformers. But that might be a touch excessive

    MEP 804A RETAPPING

IIRC the head on the 804 is only 10 lead (T10, T11, and T12 are bonded internally) So without a head rewind you cant.

That one is part of the remote control system. It was right above the j10 connector. So far I haven't found signs of overload in the harness (didn't have enough daylight time). My prime suspect at the moment is a weak connection \corrosion in the c plug

So far the J10 connector and plug. I haven't had the opportunity to tear deeper into it yet to see what else is damaged

You never realize how bad they suck till you live through one. Every hurricane I get all sorts of new friends that need generator hookups. Or the one I didn't like very much that needed his set serviced (out of spec frequency) and waited till the last moment to tell me, I couldn't talk...

    Milton after action

First hurricane power outage after joining the MEP clan, and it was a "fun" one. Wind finally took the power down at about 5am, and the 004 (yes its oversized, but it was cheap and available) decided it was gonna give me grief. heard a loud pop and was greeted by a nice and toasty fire...

    MEP802A 12V Generator

I'll take my tang with alcohol Simple fire physics. You need fuel oxygen and heat. N² is an oxygen displacer (it's actually 78% of atmosphere at sea level).

    MEP802A 12V Generator

It stops combustion. So it works well. The reason I use it is I have an unreasonable number of tanks in my shop . Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk

    MEP802A 12V Generator

I keep bottled nitrogen in the shop just for that reason. A CO2 fire extinguisher can work too

    DN2M / DN4M engine experts, a Q about stuck rings.

Stuck rings typically can unstick and improve, that's about the only difference I can think of

    MEP802A 12V Generator

Transformers in DC are more commonly known as electromagnets. So it's not as simple. Not to mention (because it's been mentioned above) all the controls would have to be redone.
