Believe it or not, but thanks to a member on here, I have ditched all my "on-board" air equipment $old it$ on my rigs, and have went to a C02 power tank type setup!! not only is it MUCH FASTER (45cfm) it can run air tools, blow guns and other "Air stuff" and is portable! to share or my other...
UPDATE!
My sincere thanks to you people, We have success!
got the wires labeled and matched up and almost everything works! yes.
I like to report back and keep interested parties updated
now the only problem I have left is the turn signal!! arr..
when I activate the turn signal.. it does...
I did as both of you suggestd to first se IF the lights function.. YES all came on one at a time.. i did not see any fuse it all encapsulated in resin.
i tried this on a stand alone battery.. each wire worked.
I dont know where else to turn, unable to search for anything similar so far with search words I used..
heres the skinny:
2001 M1123
all I wanted to do is swap the rear lights to LEDs
seemed simple enough....
1st problem..
the housing that came on the truck only has 4 wires going to the...
Can't laugh at that!
There's literally endless scenarios where different things work and don't work
For me the odds of being able to get under the Humvee or pull the line under after I get stuck in mud or high centered or something that pinches the line up against the vehicle would be my luck...
I would beg to differ on needing a rear winch.
I would rather pull myself back out of a bad situation than try and pull myself through one and have to go through it again on the way out.
Anyway I found a stock rear winch mount for like $150 it looks like a V anyway I was able to fit a spare...
thats all some great info!! but i take back what i said about "economical" for those costs I could get a very nice ARB or similar onboard air setup!
over $500 for the "cheap" one... those are all a bit out of budget.. :( but good source of info for another option! thanks!
Can you run air tools off the tank?
what kind of fittings do you plumb onto a C02 tank?
how many PSI is a 10LB tank capable of inflating a tire to?...
or operating a tool?
I have never heard of this type of setup,...mand love the souns and economics of it//
I TOTALLY agree with this!
mine has a literal "crash/ bang over anything larger than expansion joints on the freeway...
and thats on 20 PSI!
I have the 1123 heavy varient, BUT its only the 2 door soft top, so no weight and scales 6400 full tank.... no runflast with alloy wheels
