    Deuce tire weight question

I measured a mounted 9.00-20 on a bathroom scale and it weighed 190 lbs. An 11.00-20 mounted would probably be around 220 lbs.

    My GMC, a little update

Excellent work! I like you concept here - repowering an older military truck with a more modern, yet still military engine. Have you figured out how you are going to mount the air compressor? Keep up the good work. [thumbzup]

    The Deuce is Dead...

Important: please check for Hydraulic Lock if your accessory switch was left on. The fuel pump will run as long as it has enough DC power and it could have filled a cylinder with Diesel fuel if you have a leaking injector. One of our fellow SS'rs had this unfortunate experience recently.

    Article: M211 The "Cadillac Deuce"

My first Army Truck ride was in an M211 in 1974. They are still my favorite 2-1/2 ton trucks and I would trade my M35A2 for one in a heartbeat.

    Air Force two wheeler

I rode one at Disneyland. Not that hard, but would take some stick time to become an expert. I too have noticed the police switching to the three wheelers and bicycles.

The Jacqueline Cochran Air Show (Thermal Air Show)

I am already commited to a parade in San Bernardino the same day. Kylia, the same lady that asked for vehicles for Hemet, is working on Thermal, but I haven't heard from her. I can message her on Facebook if anyone needs me to do so.

    Guage is showing Yellow

Try monitoring with a digital multimeter when adjusting. First of all, you can see it while you are making adjustments, and it is more accurate than the gage in the dash. If making adjustments really doesn't change anything, then it is time to either get your alternator rebuilt, or time for a...

    Stow-n-go seats in a M109 Box :)

There are some strange rules about this in California. It used to be that you could ride in an attached camper or 5th-wheel trailer as long as the passengers could communicate with the driver. Riding in a regular trailer with a bumper hitch was not allowed. I don't know if these rules are...

    fuel treatment for ethonol gas

We found a website that lists stations in the US and Canada, by state and province, that sell non-ethanol fuel. Can you provide a link to this web-site? I never used to care, but now that a couple of my MV's are gas powered, I do. I don't like the idea of running my vehicles on corn...

    My GMC, a little update

Excellent work Gunfreak. I'm wondering if CUCV exhaust manifolds would give you more clearance. Either that or exhaust manifolds off of a 6.5 civilian engine. A few years ago I saw a sweet M211 in Nevada. It had been a fire department truck. The owner of the yard where it was sitting said...

    ~~What Not to do with a Deuce~~

Snag your shorts on the parking brake handle when getting out of the truck. You WILL cause the truck to roll and possibly rip your shorts.
