Just curious, but if propane injection helps to increase the burn efficiency of diesel to upper 90% from low 80% thus giving you more power how could HHo not help to increase power and fuel efficiency? I would think you wouldn't need a lot of gas to make ideal burn conditions for a diesel...
Remove battery connections clean and reattach, especially where the 24v jumper is between the batteries remove all of the bolts clean them polish the wire ends with sandpaper till shiny. check your body ground why you are at it. Chances are it's a dirty connection. Leave the key on and wiggle...
Glad you are Ok Thanks for the post. It never hurts to remind everyone that no matter how many times we hear it safety counts and we are all just one "short cut" away from a bad accident. Like the old addage measure twice and cut once...think twice...before taking a shortcut.
I got mine at autozone and mounted it center at the back of my m109a2 (it mounts to the license plate on civy cars. It works well and transmits up to the cab on a 2" screen, good enough to see traffic or obsticles right behind you at least and for 60$ it was a cheap solution.
So you will be camping out in at worst -40 degrees right? If you get a propane or diesel apu that is water cooled it can heat your box in the winter keep the batteries charged and the block warm too. The plumbing would be interesting though. I agree insulate like mad! Invest in the cold weather...
Govdeals.com has civy dumps for auction. They typically go for a few thousand more than GL trucks but they typicaly run and are later models than GL and you can get the title immediately. That is the route I would go but hey if you love the old trucks more power to ya. They can't carry much of a...
There are a lot of questions you need to answer for anyone to help. 1. how big is the load you plan to pull in watts.
2 voltage you plan to pull /( I have a 24v/dc to 240v/ac inverter in my m1009 for example) 3.how long do you need to draw that load? in minutes. Most truck mountable solar...
Mine runs great on 50% + blended diesel and WVO and a little WMO. Hey Dahlmer Benz ran the first diesel on peanut oil so why not use WVO. I replaced my square filter with a spin on version and it has been much easier since then.
I voted for the electric original, solenoids don't fail that often and make life easier, I would think it would actually be more of a pain to put in a manual shutoff and have to actuate it every time to shut off the truck and have to lubricate it, etc. Heck I thought about putting a solenoid on...
Clean wvo does a great job in cleaning but biodiesel is better. I put it in my truck and ALL the crap that was in the tank ended up in my filters. I didn't want to have to pull the tank though.I had to change the filters once, but ever since no problems.
