I wouldn't look at the wrong engine being a bad thing unless you are wanting a 100% stock restoration. The stock 230 is an odd engine and the military version is even more odd so some parts are troublesome and expensive to find...

It's a pet peeve of mine, lol. Working in the Parts Dept of a dodge dealership with every 3rd guy calling their engine that will do that to you.
Be careful about what is in a spray in bedliner. Some of them contain a lot of rubber and the firefighters here tell me that they can't put them out for anything and have to let them burn out.
M715 tanks are generally hopeless as they rust out like nothing else. Most are going to fuel cells or tanks in the bed, adapting whatever will fit in the stock position or in the spare tire location or custom building one. Good ones are extremely rare and very expensive.
