Ok guys that's enough. This sort of thing is not very constructive or helpful and tends to leave people with a sour taste in their mouth. Take it to PMs if you wish to continue.
It appears to be a version of the 6x6 Force Protection Cougar but is missing the spare tire (the mount can be seen) which would probably put it over width.
EDIT: On closer inspection, I have found other images that share a lot of the characteristics of the vehicle in the post that seem to...
You are 100% correct, which stands to reason since GPV worked in partnership with FNSS Savunma Sistemleri to produce the Pars(Leopard). The Pars 8x8 is a little unusual due to the fact that all 8 wheels drive and can also be steered. There are also 4x4, 6x6, and 10x10 models made off the same...
RE: dangerous truck
Ok, lets look at the facts here.
1, The comments made about the trucks color are obviously a joke. Anyone who knows Mike or has been an active member of this forum for any length of time can attest to that.
2, The military specs are plain to see, but it's also well known...
Just buy an appropirately sized canvas tarp. Many of the surplus dealers have a pretty good selection of the old OD canvas tarps that could be tied to the bows in short order.
Here's a 10' x 12' tarp that should work well...

Yeah, that's not bad at all. I just wish someone within 60 miles of me had some I could just go pick up, lol. I can find the tires everywhere, just not the rims. Oh well, I don't have the money to spend right now anyway. Time to play the lottery so I can continue to...
I wonder what the Grove and Palfinger cranes weigh though. It's hard to tell by eye, but they seem to be a bit heavier than the average knuckle boom. Also, as Gimpy mentioned, Spicergear put a Grove behind the cab of his Deuce. As I recall he had to do a lot of modifications to the outrigger...
Thanks Gimp. I searched a bit over at The M715 zone, but it's almost impossible to find the old info over there now. I knew he had a better shot at getting impressive numbers with the 4BT, 5 speed and the CUCV axles.
True but I would be reluctant to use 881 since the M881 is a actual vehicle, the M880 with a 28V, 60A generator kit. In the long run, it's probably for the best if I don't try to impersonate a MV more than I have to to get the look I want. In the end, with as much as I'm cutting out of the...
