RE: I
I don't think MVs go by "model year" as with car manufacturers. MVs have a build date, not model year, so I would think that whatever the build date is would be it's actual "model year". Paperwork discrepancies are pretty common with MVs.
RE: XL
Ahh, I knew it was on Garbee's site somewhere. Scroll past the XLs and there are pics of them on a red firetruck:

They are 9x16 though and the metrics are listed next, but you get the idea.
Actually, it's about the product and the way they are manufactured. Not only does OEM sell the Ouverson hub, they are the manufacturer. No one has said anything bad about John Tennis, quite the opposite, actually. I think if you read back through the thread you will realize that his name was...
RE: Michelin 11.00-16 XZL
I think Garbee has put them on a M37 and many of The M715 Zone members have put them on their M715s. I had a set of 6 used ones at one time, but never mounted them. Very heavy tires but good construction and I have heard nothing but good things about them except for...
The answers to your questions are there, in order. No, they don't have a cigar lighter, and yes, it is possible to add one. Make sure you supply it with 12v.
According to this thread:

..there appears to be a M746 at the 4th ID Museum at Foot Hood, TX.
I could sort of see how such a thing, if it worked, could help if we were back in the early 80s and were all still running carburetors but today's injection systems do a good job of turning the fuel into a fine mist and the combustion chambers are much better about burning most of the fuel. If...
RE: Re: I for one...
I guess we will have to agree to disagree on this one. I for one will not post any link or information about auctions. I think it is a frivolous and selfish thing to do, personally, but that is beside the point. I do think that some of you need to look at your posts and...
I agree that the rear winch of a M816 is probabaly a good idea if recovery is going to be your focus. For the most part, this will just be dragging things back up on the highway. The main issue is that insurance and competing with other companies that can not only recover, but also tow. As...
Believe me, I've been here for at least four years and probabaly 2 or 3 different versions of the site and this problem has only grown. The more people we attract to this site and the hobby, the more we are going to see this sort of thing. Especially from new members who think they have found...
I agree that the argument over who is bidding on what is old. The purpose of this thread was to suggest a rule change that would eliminate this situation once and for all. The grey area of what is or is not rare and what is or is not easy to find can vary from person to person and as such, is...
I suggest you check your tone there Alredneck. It is a discussion where all opinions are welcome, but insulting posts are not. If you don't like the thread, or the comment posted here, take yourself somewhere else. You don't have to read a thread that bothers you for some reason and if you...
RE: Re: RE: New rule proposal...
The post was not deleted because it was deemed rare enough to warrant a discussion, and I agree with that assessment, but someone who was serious about bidding on the item would no doubt feel differently. This is the grey area I was talking about. It means...
Based on the somewhat constant struggle and minor headbutting about posting information about ongoing or upcoming auctions, and the post about a certain large truck on the board, I propose a new rule. Why not wait until the auction is over before posting all these little tidbits that everyone...
They are made by the light manufacturer generally to fit that particular style light. For example, this one from AWDirect fits a Federal-Signal rotator:

If your lights are Federal-Signal, that will probabaly fit, it all depends...
