Storm, there really shouldn't be a problem for you pulling in on H street. I have pulled my 923 there before and it is funny to watch the people try to get around it. What room they have on Main they try to reserve for the really big stuff, like Abbots. We will work it out.
How about the rest...
Looks like we will be on H street this year. Think that is the same place we were last year. Hopefully they will get the final unit numbers posted soon.
See you there.
There is also the Auburn Veterans Day parade and we will be going for that. Been doing that one for over 20 years. 7 Nov. Or if you would like to come hang out at Capital High School for a few hours on 10 Nov. we will be doing presentations to the High school students. That is a no weapons...
I am still thinking on which vehicle and I think Larry will bring his M813. Most of the rest of our crew seems to be tied up with other projects that weekend. P
That will be AFD at JBLM that weekend. it is always the 3rd weekend in May. That will probably knock me out for that one. Should be my 27th or 28th year at JBLM.
Thank you for chiming in. Will probably meet there at 0900. We usually get on I or J street. Will keep you posted as it gets closer. JH1, clanky big or little green things?
you might also try polish from the auto parts store for cleaning up scuffs to your autos paint. I found a paste and with a soft cloth, usually takes just a few minutes of hand rubbing and they do clean up nice. But I have been stymied by a recent pair of taillight lenses, that had quite a bit...
They didn't go for the WW2 Vet Grand Marshall idea, because they are there to honor all veterans, except this is the 50th anniversary of their parade, so that is the most important thing for the day.
The registration is in, so if you want to tag along with this one, let me know and jump in...
Sorry, not really any pics from Cabella's. The weather was nice and the only vehicle ended up being my M923. I lost my camera a couple months ago when it was stolen and haven't replaced it yet, and my phone does not take that good of pictures.
Make it how it works for you. They are going to start setting up at 0930, but I wanted to get there by at least 0830 so we could stake out our spot. PS, did wash the 923, but no pressure. :)
If you can come, bring your vehicles. The military backed out for this and another guy had to back out for family reasons, so am down to one vehicle. 0830 in the morning, or 0700 for breakfast at Shari's, exit 109 off I-5.
Just got a call so am down to one vehicle and a couple guys at Cabela's in the morning. Any other vehicles? I will bring the M923.
Breakfast 0700 at Shari's just off exit 109.
I don't know about looking better. It is pretty hard to top a 7 million dollar Stryker. Probably budget cuts, but it is a Saturday, so the Army has the day off. I am not on the planning committee so don't know what the situation was. They just had a change of command at the base and maybe...
Coug, you going to the parade in Hoquim tomorrow? Think we will have 5 rigs there. I am going to Cabela's, looks like the Army won't be supporting the event this year, so whatever they have is what our crew brings.
