Oct 25 Saturday Washington Arms Collectors in Puyallup, WA

Sounds like I may have to wear my M923 rain gear. The 1st Sgt said if it was raining he would bring the 923 instead of the CCKW.

Auburn Veterans Day Parade 8 Nov. 2014

Does your receptacle cover have a slide lever to lock it open? That could be bent a bit and causing the function to be inhibited.

Do they have any particular theme for the show. We are coming up on the 70th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge. With the WW2 movie Fury that is out, WW2 might be a hot topic again for awhile.

I am planning on being there too. Probably the M923, but maybe the GPW depending on the weather. The 923 is a more comfortable ride for the 65 mile oneway trip. The FOWJ group is coming too. So far I have heard 3 vehicles, WW2's.

Quillcene, WA Parade, 20 Sept. 2014

Mission accomplished. It was a 190 mile round trip from my house. Beautiful day and 8 MPG in the 923. That was a new record high.

Auburn Veterans Day Parade 8 Nov. 2014

Am still waiting on the exact street location. They are supposed to send a confirmation for this. Was asked if we will put together a Desert Storm tan vehicle group again. We did that about 3 or 4 years ago. Any one want to do that? I am thinking I will bring the tan 923. But if I am asked...

Massing of the Colors JBLM 9 October 2014

Turned my M38A1 over to the 1st Sgt. for this event and due to a health problem with his wife, he was unable to attend. Another of our group that displays women's military items, said that she was the only historical display there. They thought about 1400 vets turned out for the event. They...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Took the 923 in for a front end alignment. Was getting some wear on the front tires. He said it was about 1/2 inch out. Maybe wishful thinking but it seemed to not wander now and I was not having to herd it home. Also last weekend we went to a parade, 190 miles round trip for me. Got 8 MPG...

    PNW Info Thread!

Scott my situation has turned to doubt for Sunday. 5 ton went to the shop for a look at alignment issues. And worse yet, when my calendar shows that I have an opening, that usually means that I have forgotten to write something in. Have a 1230 meeting in Chehalis for a building project. Also...

Military Family Appreciation Day 2014 Lacey WA Mission Accomplished. Light turnout for us and for the military families this year. We ended up with the WW2 jeep, 43 CCKW, and troop hauling Stryker and the Cannon version of the Stryker. It was good to get to talk with the troops and see what...
