Mission accomplished. Light turnout for MV's today. There was one WW2 jeep and a WW2 Dodge command car. If you were looking for some bits and pieces to round out your impression to go along with your vehicle, this was the place to be today. Thee were probably about 40 vendors with items from...
One of my friends has a daschund and it plays heck with the mice and moles. Fortunately once I put the neighbors cat in the cab for a couple nights, that took care of the problem, but I live in town and there are quite a few cats in the neighborhood. Good luck on this problem.
Sounds good you guys. Ed, "Go young Marines!" Would like everyone to do a check in for this event a couple days before so we can get a head count. Hope to see you all there.
Jim, keep after me as this gets closer and we will trade phone numbers. They seem to always want to park us on one of their small side streets, that are okay for a jeep, but not too conducive for M35's, 5 tons, and small armor. We ended up last year doing or Desert Storm tribute by parking out...
Sounds like a winner Monstr. Keep us posted on your progress. A pic of your truck would be nice as well. In following the rules of the Auburn Parade association, we asked that it be reasonably stock, to be a fitting tribute and remembrance to the Veterans that used your vehicle. Peter L.
Will see you there Stuart. Looks like I will be doing WW1. Why drive a vehicle when you can walk? Looks like our Vietnam era medic will be driving the jeep for that day.
Guess you need to start looking for a scrap Stryker and get the remote gunnery station. I can hardly wait to get a look through your thermal imaging. :-)
Guess it is a pretty safe bet that if I don't know what it it, that I don't have it. Do still have an M151 pedestal kicking around with the other pieces to complete. Hoping to build an M151 around it one of these days.
October 6, 2012, the Olympic Flight Museum at the Olympia, WA airport will hold their Fall military show, display, and fund raiser. The show is from 1000 to 1700. If there is interest, they would like MV's to come and be on static display in front of the museum. We would get front row parking...
Oct. 6, Olympic Flight Museum at Oly airport. Anyone want to set up and display like we did back in the Spring? I talked with the curator and she would like to have us. We would get the parking lot in front of the Museum. Last time we had 7 vehicles show for the event. Will put more info...
So far it looks like 4 vehicles are interested in attending. We should have a wide variety of military themes. So far we have WW2 and Vietnam. Vietnam has weather restrictions as he has no top. chime in or PM me. Thank you. P
thank you for the drive by. We will get you next time.
I am sure that they were looking to see where all that oil was coming from.
They were a neat family with a deployed family member, so they needed to get out of the house for a bit.
Will give same info. go to your favorite local parts store and tell them you have a 77 Dodge W200. Look at purchasing the loaded calipers for the fronts. it is cheaper than buying all the parts separately. Everything for the brakes is off the shelf. You might start your own parts number...
MFAD after action report. We had 3 vehicles on display, 2 - WW2 jeeps and 1 - M 151. Also had a drive by from a URAL motorcycle. There were 5 troops in uniforms from WW2 to Vietnam. We shared the space with two Strykers and they also had 2 Humvee's in attendance. There was a great turnout...
