    King of the rattle can

I wiped the entire vehicle down with lacquer thinner by hand, then shot it. The tan is mostly a HF spray gun with some rattle can in areas, the 383 is HF gunned green base with rattle can blk/brn. All Rapco paints, all done in my driveway, and I consider a cheap HF gun to differ from a rattle...

    Trailer fender Wells?

The M101A2 uses standard 16" Chevy truck wheels, not split rims, so that is not an issue. I started out with an 8" Wildcat grinder that almost broke my wrist when it bound up, and went through about $4 worth of blade per foot, then I tried a Sawzall... THAT is the right tool for the job. I still...

    Trailer fender Wells?

Cut the vertical parts off that box to make a flatbed, like my camper project (the M101A2 formerly known as "ugly")

Yes we all know 101's aren't designed to dump!

I am not going to fold my M101A2 up, because I like the brakes the way they are, and HATE replacing crushed hard brake lines...

WHERE have all the M1008/M1028 gone?

Yes, I am going to repaint the inverted V that was in it and make up some bumper numbers. I need to paint the tail gate and find some troop seats, install new batteries and a starter and it's done. Thanks for the complements! I really like this truck.

WHERE have all the M1008/M1028 gone?

I painted her, bought new tires and cleaned up the cab, she is pretty much ready for parade duty! Now I need troop seats...

Who dat? M35A3 spotted in Austin

Yesterday about 17:30 I saw a nice looking M35A3 on northbound Parmer at 620, being driven by a guy in a t-shirt who was checking out my M1009 as I was checking out his Deuce, an SS member perhaps? If not I need to track him down and get him onboard! NO this is not a personal add: "we...

M116A2, I wish I could find one of those around here... (two really, one for a camper and one for a genset)

That is the position I was in, use what I can and trash the rest, at least some of it is going to live on!

    Show us your Military Trailers

And YES I am building a teardrop on an M116A2 frame, but the only thing I have cut up is a rusty bullet riddled body destined for the scrapper anyway. ALL of the rest will be used in it's original unmodified state, easily restorable back to original condition with a new body.

    Show us your Military Trailers

As much as I like seeing military trailers in civilian use some of those expedition trailers would have been better built from scratch. By the time they are done with them not much remains of the poor little M416/M101CDN!

    pintle hitch stenciling

Yes, I know, that was a joke. The star is the National Symbol, the subdued version of the big white star on the door in Vietnam. The "General's Star" is a running joke around here, it started when someone posted an MV on eBay for sale and said that was why it had a star on it (because it was a...
