I think I would win the Ugliest MV Award

My M1009 was pink when I got her, she was an ugly duckling, but she's much better now...

I think I would win the Ugliest MV Award

I like MERDC camo, I have two examples and I plan to repaint them in the same pattern. 1-My M416 2-My M109A3 along with M813RC's M185 3-I tried to mate the 416 and 109 to make more MVs... it did not take

    Barn find....worth anything?

The Vintage Power Wagon trucks came from Thailand according to this site M601

    Barn find....worth anything?

That's not Hebrew, it's Thai! The Dodge M601 was a military version of the civilian Power Wagon built for export to foreign countries. They were used by Argentina, Denmark, Greece, France, Israel, Mexico, Philippines, and Thailand. One of our club members has one he bought from the...

DAMMIT! I thought I had all the Deuce trailers I "need", now I find that there is one more! That front gate is too cool...

    Dangerous Trailer Loading

I have seen the aftermath of a loose trailer head on collision, in this case it was a small travel trailer and a 78 Buick (the motor was in the front seat), and I was almost the victim once myself. In my case it was a porta-potty on two wheels with a hitch, in my lane, coming right at me in my...

    Dangerous Trailer Loading

I see that kind of stuff down here a lot, my house is only 244 miles north of Mexico... I don't know why, but for some reason people from our southern neighbor seem to have an aversion to trailers that are not SCRAP. I have seen new $50K one ton dually trucks towing overloaded trailers with bent...

Pulling 2x2s out of stake pockets

drill a hole, soak some kerosene into the board from the inside (hence the hole) and burn it out, like a stump

    M101A1 License Plate

screwing it to the top of the gate will allow it to be seen even with the gate all the way down (in the position that covers the lights though...) And YES, the wind will try to flip it up when you are driving, though a small magnet screwed to the plate will cure that.

    M101A1 License Plate

Very clever! Shows with the gate in any position, that is now in my file of ideas to use when the time comes, THANKS!

    My New/Old Radio PRC-351

I have 349/350/351s too, though my PRC-77 reportedly transmits stronger and cleaner than my 351.

    My M416 doing her job

No, that is all I brought for the day's shooting! They might all fit in there, might... Thanks, I love that little girl, she is so handy.

    Show Me Your Campers!

Likely not, I want to keep it short to reduce drag and weight, just tall enough for me to sit upright on top of the mattress. I MIGHT find a way to attach 30mm ammo cans underneath, those would stay dry inside and take some abuse from kicked up rocks, as long as they don't hang down too low...

    Show Me Your Campers!

I think it will do well, my idea was to have a secure place to sleep in a thunderstorm. A cot inside a standard M101 with a cover on it is OK, but not much better than a tent in a storm. I have experienced a heavy thunderstorm in a tent, once is enough! I am trying to keep the weight down as my...

    Show Me Your Campers!

The bumped out nose is all storage and I am thinking of storage space below the floor, between the frame rails. The only possible problem with that is access as I plan to use a real twin mattress inside (NOT a puny futon or foam pad). I am also planning on a storage box on the tongue, fuel/water...

    My M416 doing her job

ALWAYS, that is one reason I bring a trailer on every off road trip

    My M416 doing her job

I used my M416 on Monday for her actual intended purpose! I hauled all of my guns, ammo and gear for a day long trip to the shooting range. I could feel her back there behind my M1009, felt like pulling an empty M101A2, except for the lack of brakes at stopping time. I have no idea how much...

    Show Me Your Campers!

Mine is going to be a "teardrop" style (technically a "weekender" design, in teardrop terms), so far I have started preparing the frame but am still in the design (and money gathering) phase. Attached are pix of: my trailer in it's current state, the "weekender" design concept and some photos I...
