even with a re-geared tranny or what ever, the tires would need to be swapped with "something better" there is a thread about different tranny options on m35a3.net.
congrats, my latest recovery didn't go so well, lost the oil through the turbo and then lost a valve due to no oil (couldn't see gauge to well at night) but made it close enough to the compound to flat tow it back. thinking of parting the beast out now.
If I can make it would anyone there help me set up my radar scattering net? I have poles for it but have never set it up. Im wondering if i also need stakes.
ran mine through the desert back from Vegas, it seemed to never get hotter than 225. Also ran the other one flat towing another deuce up a 2500 foot incline at 15 mph, same 225 limit. still have the 15w-40
dont let all jealous comments discourage you, picked up my winch truck last month and put on 1000 miles on the way back with no problems. On the other hand picked up an A2 and it broke down 100 miles from house. But no worries, took the A3 down and towed it back to the compound.
