I just didn't engage it thats all. In driving around a little before i shot that i tryed it with the front engaged. Its amazing how much traction that adds. Thought i would get better donuts without the front pulling. Could be wrong, have to try that next time.
yup thats a pile of snow alrighty. Have fun in that duece man. Have to snap a pic of the monster pile across the street from work. Gonna take till mid july to melt i'm thinking, its that big.
True clinto but we all know uncle does some screwy stuff. Like a dropside tailgate on a non dropside bed. Regardless you can just see the hinges so its a dropside for sure. :-)
Very nice job on that truck, i'm no help on your issue unfortunately :-( No experience on the 6.2 whatsoever. But from prior experience with diesels there are only so many things to go wrong. Its white smoke so it isn't lack of air or too much fuel. Only things that come to mind are timing or...
Looks slow from that angle but it takes a little bit for that much truck to come around. :-) It sure as heck feels faster. I already find driving the deuce very relaxing, the donuts are simply a fantastic addition to the stress relief.
yes BPj911, the flow should be about the same at the secondary as the primary. I'm not sure about the return in all honesty. But i do know that you should get no less than a geyser of fuel at the secondary. Definitely check out that fuel line, its in a spot that can be prone to damage.
Lots of pressure at the primary but only a trickle at the secondarys huh. This may have nothing to do with that cold snap. I know its simple but take a look at the fuel line that heads from the primary to the secondary. That location leaves something to be desired.....may have bumped something...
You are gonna have to push the clutch in if you need to stop ASAP anyway. The engine shouldn't over rev or anything, just stay running at whatever RPM you had it set at. Its not going on vehicle speed like your car its going on engine RPM from what i have hear/read at least. More like a tractor...
First off, good luck on saving the old gal, deserves better than that. Second, this BS ought be illegal. WTF..... taxpayer buy this stuff and then we just leave it where ever it sits, abandoned in a foreign country???? Talk about a waste of resources.
I'm with maddawg, i'm fresh outta cash at the sec but will for sure be attending. Will need somewhere to park the deuce so a space with the SS crew is my best bet. I do believe that means a large space will be required for me.
I'll add my name to the list of guys that want a set. Why is it that every dropside tailgate is out of square???? Its not like they are flimsy and easily bent. I have actually dropped the sides on mine, once. Had to pick up 2 one ton pallets of wood pellets for my grandfather. Made the loading...
Well i think it all depends of whether you think being called a redneck is a bad thing or not. Some might say it is a redneck truck, but to tell you the truth i just don't care :-) Its my truck, i think its the coolest thing on the road and if they don't like it i'll use their civic as a wheel...
I saw you had the hood up on that truck whe i went by the other day. If i wasn't in such a rush i would have stopped in. I'm not far away so if you need a second set of hands give me a shout.
Will do ems4ty, now that i have a decent camera pics and vids will be a common occurance :-) This was my firts attempt at a vid with this camera and now that i know what the quality will look like i'll turn it up a bit. Have pics to go with, went and played in the snowbanks a bit too. First...
Just a quickie post, thought you guys might enjoy a quick clip of my afternoon fun yesterday. Icy private parking lot + deuce = fun and entertainment for all :-) Oh, the second half of the vid is much better IMO, seems to slide a lot better after a few donuts to warm up the tires. For anyone...
