Been dealing with some gauge issues myself! (Had previously installed civy gauges and re-pinned connector) Gauges would work, then not work, to include fuel gauge. Only a plow truck for the property at the moment so wasn't a big deal....
Had pulled the steering column to replace the wiper...
I "simply" rewired the B/O light circuit/switch to power the plow lights! So, either headlights are used, or plow lights. Don't remember specific wiring changes, did this mod ten plus years ago.... Pretty certain I will never need blackout drive or do nighttime convoys (again!)
I use ATS spring out of PA. (used them for shop I managed) They ship and are reasonably priced. Bonus: Use to deal with the father, would call and they actually knew what they were doing and knew what i needed! Their springs used to come out of canada. Regardless, they have always stood behind...
I installed 6x9's behind the seat. Could have fabricated the brackets but price was not exorbitant and my time could be better used elsewhere!

I buy rolls of nicopp and make my own. Will outlast the rest of the truck..... Like making my own so I can secure neatly. The nicopp bends easily by hand, much nicer to work with than stainless. The particular product I use comes with a bag of fittings.
Unfortunately I'm in the rustbelt...
I just recently BTDT. Went with 4 leaf spring packs as I wanted the additional weight capacity. Without the plow it raised the front end one inch. But, didn't drop as much with the plow due to weight capacity. I wouldn't add a leaf, spring packs aren't that expensive and you're doing almost...
Main seals on the CUCVs ALWAYS leaked. Drove them when they were new. Our Mnt guys would always ask how fast I was running as they would leak oil all over after running for hours at highway speeds!
As for transmission pan gasket. Several years ago I started using duraprene gaskets at work as...
Only way to properly clean the tank out is drop it! And if I was dropping I'd just replace it.... Tanks can be had for $100 new. that will eliminate the contaminated fuel possibility......
At a minimum I would clean up the stub with crocus cloth till smooth. If it was mine I would replace the stub .
In my younger, poorer and six kids days I would have just cleaned it up with the crocus..... In my old age I try to do things right so I don't have to do it again (ever!)
We had a waste oil heater in the shop i worked at (retirement job) and always had issues with donated oil.... Set the fuel containers outside (0 degrees here this morning) If containers sit water should separate out and freeze. Then pour the diesel off, leaving ice in container. Still only...
We used Amsco Valley forge for a lot of oddball stuff when i worked at the shop. Must have been alot of old timers there, you'd call with a question and they always managed to find someone that knew the answer off the top of their head!
It's a wholesale only type place, but if shipping to...
