yep reg truck rivits on 1/2 ton - 1ton i use oxy/act and melt the head off. then glow the rest hot and air hammer pops them out like hot candy . easy to do.
i just havent done duece rivits yet if thay are harder.

ditch the lift block get a drop arm. then install new springs/bushings and add 1 washer if need be. i have never added washers. just changed springs and bushings. the springs sag out bad . i have pulled some out with 1/4" sag over new springs.

4l80-e wont live behind the 8.3 .. scrap that idea and possibly get a allison1000 from a dmax truck in a 2x4 config. then use the stock deuce tcase as stated.

1 ton 14ff rear axles split is 4.10-down or 4.56 up. but you DONT NEED A NEW LOCKER the carrier is 2 peice style. you just need a open carrier and swap the locker gut over. the detroit in them replaces the spider unit in a open .
but dana 60 is full carrier swap.
