I was doing a convoy in the late 80's in Ft. Irwin under black of black out lights. Lost the guy in front of me. sped up trying to find his tail lights. By the time i found them it was too late to stop. Ran smack into the back of his trailer. Was in an M35A2. THANK GOD HE WASN'T STANDING BEHIND...
I think you are going in the rite direction. I know if it were mine, and I could get it to run, AND fix the breaks...... I would drive her around on the dirt roads for a few miles before I made my decision. Seems like once you drive them your whole attitude changes. for better or worse.[thumbzup]
Good looking score, and welcome to the 1010 club. Mine alse has police experence. I am haveing a few roblems with mine, but I will get everything fixed.... in time
ok guys and gals, best thing to do is check with the state you are in. Also, get a copy of the fed laws. It is a green book that can be picked up at most truck stops. LEARN THIS BOOK! Or at least how to find things in it. I drive vehicles that could be construed as commercial. They are private...
wow, I am glad to see you are using those trucks to their near full potential. I do not think that thge tan one is ugly at all. Now if they had painted it that desert pink that they were using at the beginning of Desert Shield, then it would be classified as ugly!
Thanks for all of the info guys. well, this is the deal, I went and looked at this truck. think it might be a little more trouble than I want to go through. It does have both plows and they look to be in good shape. The metal on the truck looks good too. He tried to start it while I was there...
I must say Ryan77, I saw a LOT of humor with the pic of your wife hiding her face! My first wife would not have even considered helping me with a small project like getting an old dirty truck into the garadge. This may be the reason she is (was) my first. My current wife would be all for helping...
Thanks ZackRidesRed. I am going to look at this truck I think. It is a couple hundred miles from where I live, but curiosity is getting the best of me.
Ok, you guys know more about this than I do. Accidently found a Studebaker duce yesterday. It comes with a straight plow as well as a drift plow. I havent seen it yet, but he said it runs good. I am not looking for a gas one, but that is what this one is. I want a miltifuel. about how much do...
Installed a bench seat in the M1010 with carpeting so we can all 3 ride along. Took all the "crap" that the city installed for their SWAT team out of the back, and touched up the paint with rattle cans.[thumbzup]
Lift kits are the bomb. I have a 4 inch on my 84 civy 6.2 1/2 ton with 33s. I am going to try to get 315/75 16s under my M1010 with only a 4 inch lift. hope I can make em fit under the box. If not, I have a 3 inch body lift!
