Hey guys, I replaced my original rear main seal and vacuum lines back in April on my M1008 and until today I have not had any issues. But today I found a small amount of oil that was gathering on the backside of my oil pan which appears to be coming from or around the rear main. Last week, I...
Has anyone ever used Sherwin Williams Automotive paint to repaint their rigs? If so, what color and color codes did you use? Associated pics would be helpful! Thanks guys!
Opinions on Oil Pump Change Needed
I have an 1986 CUCV K30 6.2 diesel. I am changing the rear main seal and oil pan seal this Friday. The question is: Do I change a working old oil pump while I'm there? Or does the motto, if it ain't broke don't fix it apply? Let's hear any comments, opinions...
Hey guys, I looked in these forums for sites in Alabama but all of the threads were 10 years old. I'm hoping to start an updated thread about where everyone is going in or around Alabama to get their MV's or salvaged parts??? Lets hear it??
I have the same problem with the turn signal coming on when I turn on the headlights. What was the fix for this issue? Did it turn out to be ground isssue?
You guys are geniuses! I've been so wrapped up in rewiring it back to the way it's suppose to be that I completely forgot to check the fuses and now two new fuses and she STARTS!! Thank you so much!
Do you mean the pink/black wire on the bottom small terminal? As a matter of fact, no i do not have 12 volts to the pink/black wire. I'll get to reading the manual for the fuses ASAP! What would it be labeled? Is it as obvious as glow plug relay fuse in the manuals? Thanks!
I have tried the jumper wire from ground to the blue wire and I get nothing. I haven't looked to see if the card is there, I just got the truck two weeks ago and the guy bragged about how it always started fine for him. I trailered it home and I am yet to get it cranked. I will look at the TM's...
Ok, OK.... I'm desperate!! I have read tons of glow plug threads, the TM's and the internet. I bought this 1986 CUCV K30 from someone two weeks ago and since then, I have been studying on how to correct its glow plug issues. As of right now, I have a 6ga wire with fusible link leaving the front...
Thanks Rich, I'd love to see a photo of the engine so I can see how you did it. How would you replace the fusible wire on the trail? That's why I was thinking of using an easily replaceable fuse or flip a breaker switch. I'm not saying you're wrong, I just want to hear your rationale so it can...
Hey guys, Let me start by saying I have an '86 CUCV K30 6.2L Diesel and I have done the glow plug resistor bypass, installed a Napa ST85 glow plug relay and I'm using AC 60G glow plugs.
I am thinking about wiring in either a fuse or breaker into the 4 gauge wire I have feeding the glow plug...
