Just got PM from Devin. I am in. I need a break from housebuilding. Putting in main gas line and meters today.
Either day just let me know so I can get some lunch money outa da piggy bank.
I was just thinking that some of these old 5 ton or 2 1/2 ton cargo covers could be cut in the middle and resewn for the guys that are Bobing the deuce.
Would seem a shame to butcher a brand new one................... 2cents
I have not paid much attention to the 5 tons since I can't afford a wrecker  but noticed the GARLAND U. S. ARMY AUTOMOTIVE manufacture on a 5 ton cargo going on the auction block at GL.
Is this a newer version of the AM General or are/were they mostly manufactured by the Garland...
Joey,
Is this something you acquired recently? If so, where did you find/get it and how much?
Bjorn,
Is this the unit that you were looking for the glass bowl for and found out that a mason jar was same size and would work?
Ok, final 2 questions everyone knew was...
Will,
It is through Mather Auctions.
You bid on it in person and take it home with you. The auctioneer has a portable loudspeaker and walks from one lot to the next doing the auction. Everyone follows him or stands and waits at the particular item he wants. Fast and furious. Stuff goes pretty...

I did a total of 5 in that series theme. One became the media vehicle for the Paris-Dakar off road race. One went to San Diego, one to Reno. Lost track of the Atlanta Olympics one. cry:
That's the way my dad did it with our '59 NAPCO 3/4 ton chevy with the split 17" rims. If I knew then what I know now I wouldn't have been so eager to help him.
I hope you continue with more pics of your radial installation? What size?
Mike,
I so wanted to be there as that is where my wife hails from. Lots of friends to visit.
I see you made it there dead center with the group - lookin' good!! [thumbzup]
Thanks for the pics
Ouch, that is what I was afraid of. I have to use a specialty vinyl that can be printed on.
I checked the supply catalog and what I could find runs about $1.15/sq foot my cost. Minimum order is 24 sq feet
I'll check with them when they are open and see what we can do, get, use.
The...
There is a huge auction at Port Hueneme Naval Base on April 2nd. I have been to a few of these and prices are pretty good. I bought 2 - E350 4X4 vans from them among other things. This stuff comes from Mcmurdo Naval Base in Antartica.
Lots of small tools and lot items that you bid on the whole...
Bjorn,
Yes, I can work with this. Is the "gray" a metallic gray or pastel gray?
The color(s) may be off a bit without having it right here for comparison but it will be close.
I'll work on this and the 5 ton air cleaner ones next week after I get back from Mammoth, Ca.
