I know downshifting through the gears will slow down, but then?
How do you stop without hitting something if you need to stop faster? And find out the brakes won't slow you?
Has anyone done any maintenance on their armasafe plus battery? I know they call it a 'sealed' battery. But it seems to be a wet lead acid battery regardless.
so there may be a way to check and level up the battery with distilled water.
I noticed a bit of a mess on the driveway. It looks like the brake cylinder is leaking. Or could it be a axle seal? What is more likely to leak on the M1009?
Ive been looking for shocks. Im sure anything is better than the ones that are on there now. When I searched i found most of them for quad front. I would just like some stock single socks for a non lifted m1009. And no, i don't want bilstein. Do you maybe have the right part number for gabriel...
I was going through the electrical stuff as part of my PMCS. And found out that the horn would not work, but do something as i could hear a clicking sound from the fusebox area.
Found out the wire to the horn was clipped and missing just after the filter cap. So i soldered a new wire on after...
is that normal? I never noticed this on a CUCV before. It looks like the axle is further back on the driver side? not sure how that could be with the swaybar installed
driver side
passenger side
The cab floors and cab supports on the passenger side of my m1009 are holier than anyone would appreciate. Is there a preferred place to buy replacement panels?
I came across places like LMC truck and now that I have sorted out most of the PMCS and things that were wrong, it's time to look into...

I know ether is not the best thing for the engine and I read something like one can use a propane torch to warm the intake air.
I read that one can use a engine heart system in the FMTV
Who here uses one and what are...
I had this m1009 cutvee sitting around waiting to be restored and now its time has come. The minucipality i had this truck from did some funky wiring with a push button start. I like things to work as intended and want to return it to the original set up. Checked the starter switch and neutral...
I decided to work on the CUCV I got a while ago and I noticed that the starter doesn't engage properly , I found out that some of the gears on the flexplate seem to be stripped.
There is a gear reduction starter installed a,d Now I al wondering if that could be the cause for the stripped gears...
Don't bother buying a new gmtk-5 kipper tool box for thousands of dollars. They say there is a unlimited warranty on their tools, but if something breaks , they will give you the run around and nasty emails. SMH Learned my lesson there.
My LMTV to the rescue. The new neighbors got their moving truck stuck on the downhill slope. They called a tow company they couldn't do anything with their truck. But they had chains with them.
(first I pulled the truck back and out away from the slope)
(when they tried to drove out , the...
