RE: Pics or opinions on hauling 2 M105A2 trailers? On 1 trai
I remember someone hauling 2 back on a 15 foot trailer...with a dodge 1500 truck. Seemed to work fine. You can slant stack them and if you have enough straps to tie them down you ought to be fine. Just don't do Slaloms with it.
FWIW, when I was driving to Pensacola right after Katrina I saw lots of M35s and Hummvees heading to New Orleans at 45 MPH. I beleive they were Texas NG. The backs had tarps over them (Blue) and they were full of water, MREs, etc.
2000 more gets you a nicely painted clean good running truck from idaho motor pool.
Oh, if a deuce does not fit your lifestyle...
make your lifestyle fit the deuce :D
You can get lots of 8mm cheap from Sportsmansguide or pretty much any surplus place.
Problem is, it's corrosive, so when you are done shooting shoot some windex down your barrel and clean with lots of hot, soapy water.
Re: RE: 5 ton woe
Towing an m813 with a deuce is a bad idea...really bad. The m35 can't handle the 5 ton on the rear, it's waay beyond it's weight limits, and it's flat out unsafe.
Would I do it if it was an emegency? yeah. For fun? nope! My life is worth more.
Ohio rapid fire has some for sale. There's also advanced armaments...and some others. You can even built them yourself if you are so inclined.

One of the funniest SS threads in a while. Purely for the comedic humour madsam provided, but his lame insults to DMA and Ddoyle (who all took it in stride, I might add). And the whole comment by SS "Oh, well in that case, keep throwing rocks at the hornets' nest."

Re: RE: Cradle
There is nothing wrong with the m60 (other than if I have to carry it). The m2 fills up the 'void' (for lack of a better word) better on top of the cab than an m60.
And it looks more fearsome
