On the bright side, once the impeller came loose, the engine (Yanmar L100) freely turned. The air and oil filters looked good, compression felt good, so I added fresh oil and a little fuel, then primed it 10 pulls while holding the decompression lever. After that the engine started on the...
I bought this water pump in unknown condition. When I finally received it, I found it was seized up. There was a lot of corrosion on the impeller that was visible by removing the cap from the inlet port. I'm guessing it was used with salt water and put away wet.
The tag on the pump is hard...
Here is some part number info for the injection metering pumps for the Lister-Petter LPW2 & LPW4 (aka Cummins Onan DN2M & DN4M):

There are at least 2 different manufacturers that make these metering pumps with similar but slightly different designs.
Do both of yours have the same part # stamped on them? I can't quite tell from the pictures.
Are the batteries fully charged?
I don't have anything larger than an 803 personally, but I've read where low batteries that can cause problems with the electronics in the 805B/806B.
My preferred fitting is the Ace Roto-Mold 10897, which is a 1/4" brass bulkhead fitting with a groove and a viton o-ring. I've got them from tank-depot.com in the past, but they're occasionally available on Amazon, too. Never had a tank leak since I started using these.
I went with 50 amp plugs & receptacles for price and availability. I used the money saved from pin & sleeve to get heavier wire where it would fit: 4 gauge instead of 6 gauge, Type-W instead of SOOW. It's not perfect, but it gives me some piece of mind.
I think the filter base is very similar to the Donaldson P560382. The main difference I see is the location of the bleeder screw.
I put one of them on a custom trailer because it used the same filters as my 803.
You can probably find them cheaper if you shop around...
Alex, I had a stuck metering pump a while back. Here are some pictures from when I had it apart to clean it. See post #21. It wasn't the same problem you're having, but might be helpful if you end up cleaning your metering pump.
Here are a few more questions that might help us diagnose what's happening:
Is there any junk in the fuel tank that could be blocking / restricting fuel flow into the pickup tube?
What color is the exhaust smoke when it bogs down? (White, blue, black, clear...)
Are both batteries well...
