Ray,
I'll happily take any instructions, guides, diagrams, pointer or anything else you would like to provide that would be helpful. Also, in this post of yours (Click Here) you mentioned you made a few tools that "made it a lot easier" for you...I'm pretty handy with a Mig welder and Plasma...
Yesterday when I got home, I read through all your recent posts and also reread through this entire thread to see if I missed any troubleshooting steps, you all have suggested. The only thing I had not done was clean and blow out the input port on the IP as asked by "2Pbfeet". So, I went out...
Leak fixed. After removing Items 10-12 in the below diagram, I inspected and cleaned them once again; check valve did not have any debris in or around it and the internal valve moved freely and was not "sticky". I then reinstalled everything to test pressure of the fuel system; I first tested...
Here is a link to the video of the initial startup yesterday. Looking back at the video I can now see the leak may be more then I described in my post; as I pan around to the area of the Oil Pressure Gauge you can see Oil pressure was around 45 PSI but maybe more importantly the fuel leak...
I had already removed the Check Valve; soaked, cleaned and checked the flow prior to the startup yesterday, all seemed good. I will check it again when I remove Items 10-12 to tighten everything up to stop the leak.
So, today I got everything connected and put back together on the Gen Set. I put in new Wix filters (spin-on), primed all the pumps and fuel line up to the 90 just upstream of the check valve. I drew 2 1/2 gallons of fresh fuel into the day tank using the Aux Pump without issue. I then turned...
Just finished testing the pump (#1). I pulled items 6-11, shown in the pump diagram, out of one of the tested, working pumps and put them into Pump 1 then tested it...exact same them, the pump would run, prime, then stop. The pump's outlet was open and free flowing into a bucket. Seems like...
Yes, the Pumps were put back together as shown in the diagram. I had gotten the same diagram from one of your other Posts.
Yes, I did blow out all pumps in both directions...and No on having to use force to take any of the pumps apart.
I will also try swapping the parts 6-10 from a correctly...
Yes, I cleaned the Pump very well...Twice. Knowing their importance, I paid particular attention to the Check Ball in the bottom end of the plunger and the spring loaded one that goes in the end of the plunger spring as. The below pic is before cleaning. One thing I did notice on the ball...
If you click on the orangish colored link "Vid-1" it should open the video...at least it does when I click on it.
As for the Pump stopping, no, the pump is not clicking slow, it completely stops whether I have a pressure gage attached or if I let the fuel just free flow out of the pump outlet...
Ok, found the issue with the Aux Fuel Solenoid; I had not yet reinstalled the Day tank after cleaning, so the Aux Fuel Float was not in (connected) the Aux Fuel circuit. Once connected, the Aux pump and solenoid operated correctly...pump would push fuel when the float was down and stop when the...
Oh, Sorry...I just thought that if someone had an issue with the Aux Fuel Solenoid specifically, they could just search for that term, and it would be easier than having to read every post that mentions "Solenoid". Again, sorry about that!!!
Can you show me on the attached pic which pins on the solenoid do I apply 24v power to to see if it clicks?
Also, do you have any instructions/diagrams on how to disassemble the soleniod? I started a new thread here "Solenoid Disassemble" on the solenoid disassemble just in case someone who's...
