I think the issue is inconsistent dimensions on the repair kits. After a few conversations, people have seen the end caps to tall and sometimes to short. This has motivated me to draw the entire mid crossmember as a direct replacement. I'll also do the repair kit end caps as pictured above...

We were able to get a ride in yesteday. It was cool and we had a few drops of rain but with the doors on the ride was enjoyable. The second water crossing was deep enough to get some water on the front floors.
We did 2 days of trail riding and had a great time. The weather was good 2 of the 3 days we were here. The rain day was spent touring the Brushy Mountain prison.
New rear shocks have been trail tested. I can not tell any difference with the length being 1" shorter. We are at the Wind Rock rally and they pass the off road test!
We had a good time at the show on Friday. Sold a good amount of 151 body panels and got some great deals on parts. Most vendors bailed on Friday night, we stuck around till Saturday afternoon.
I just replaced the rear shocks on my A2 with Monroe part #66627. Around $35 each on Rock Auto. I went this route as I didn't want to buy a 30 plus year old NOS shocks. The last NOS lasted about a year.
