They say atf is not good to use anymore because of the additives. Use 2cycle oil instead. Sounds like a pump issue.

So the two lines match on the two gears? You should advance the pump just a tiny bit. To the drivers side.

It's for crowd control. That way you don't mess up the oem one. That way you can unbolt it and just make another one.

I have never seen a "kit" but any starter rebuild company should be able to order parts for it. If you guys are having problems finding people pm me. I can send you to the guy that fixes all my stuff.

Sounds like you have an injection pump problem with hot starts or a glow plug problem. I dissagree with the push button glow plug switch.

It would help if you told us what exactly you have for a cucv. Why are you de-tuning it? If it's under 1k egt you are fine. 4-500 is where mine is at 65. 4-5 lbs of boost in my m1008
