1500 miles later after a TPS adjustment all is well and the Transynd made a huge positive difference in the shifting smoothness ...both up and down..

there's the rub..I did not wait until the tranny left me on the side of the road... I looked at all alternatives.. to remove the C6 Clutch cover is a huge ordeal.. either remover the tranny from the top..after removing the bed.. or remove the tranny from the bottom of you have a tranny jack that...
pull the drain plug from the transfer case...I had the same noise I thought was gear lash as well... it wasn't
it was the C6 Clutch Pack thrust bearing that grenaded ... $11k worth of retran and all is well

what would smart money have done ?.. mainland shipping costs are @$20k on a $4200 truck?.. + "get it running costs" + transport costs to Nevada + another @ 4-5 digits to get the truck running "reliably"... plus I have seen the Guam trucks and they are total rust buckets and a never ending...
I tried the same approach at Orlando Allison.. $550 low boy transport (each way @50 miles) .. after the service manager said * if it's got an Allison , we can fix it".. 2 weeks later those sh*tbags did not do anything... the truck just sat there. $1100 down the toilet .. needless to say...
