I don’t often complain about corporate interests however this one is egregious.
The HMMWV ECV/REV M83P2 steering gear produced by R.H. Sheppard (Spicer CV) cannot be effectively serviced in the aftermarket. Sheppard protects their remanufacturing business aggressively and will not source...
I'm getting into seasonal maintenance a tad late.
MEP-802A is acting up a tad. The starter will kick in briefly and then stop when the switch is engaged. Dead crank has no problem engaging the starter continuously. I presume this is a bad solenoid or start relay somewhere. Where do I start...
Long story, I'm WIP re-installing the front differential after a rebuild.
The differential is in, RF brakes are done. I'm having difficulty with the LF caliper installation. There is not enough room in the forward direction to slip the caliper around the adapter/pads/rotor assembly. I'm...
I'm finally getting around to taking CNC mill classes at the local shop. Next week I have the opportunity to run the mill on a test pattern in aluminum or mild steel. Curious if there are any developed Fusion 360 patterns for some small interesting parts on the HMMWV platform. Nothing...
Curious if anyone has attempted a rebuild/reseal. The box on my 1151 has excessive sector shaft play and leaks. Figure it’s worth a seal and sector shaft bearing.

I need to replace the RF lap belt and am missing some of the brackets. Having a hard time finding a parts diagram to ID the belt and bracket.
Here’s the belt bracket, there is a missing extension that keeps the belt from contacting the battery tray.

I have a solar pulse charger that is known good. Curious about standard mounting locations in the service. I’m not overly enamored with hood/mushroom cap mounting or drilling holes in the top. Considering fabricating an aluminum panel mount to an existing location near the RF passenger roof for...
Working with the troubleshooting guide. Pulled codes, DTC 71 indicating crankshaft position sensor loss of signal.
Tested sensor, open circuit. Replaced sensor using known good and tested unit.
Repeated code 71…. Moving on to testing continuity of circuit 349 and 359 from the sensor to the...
Hmm, heat or no heat? Don’t want to melt the rivnut / fasteners. Else drill/extract? Of course also the weld nut method as well…

Looking for a thin barrier to prevent further damage when retrofitting panels. Recommendations?
I seem to recall a member using PTFE sheet or similar…...
Q: Is adhesive indicated where the seal metal lip joins the hatch? Just got a new seal for installation. Looks like I also have to R&R one armor panel that sandwiches the upper part of the seal.
RT side molded plastic in place.

Is there no provided boost tap location?
Saw the hollow bolt tap option. Debating just drilling & tapping the pressure side of the manifold. Where though…

Looks like there is a revision last year but I have not been able to locate in our TM section or elsewhere online...
Curious if anyone has direct experience with the 250 and 300HP UROVA upgrade kits for the 6.5T

I have one bad 51 that may not be recoverable on the AGM charger. This one is ridiculously over priced. Any alternative more reasonably price?

I purchased this heater for my M998 in Jan ‘20. Failed this season unfortunately just as we have snow and very low temperatures.
Curious if others have had issues and if there are perhaps more durable heaters from other suppliers.
