I’ve been running the Predator cover for a few years. Nice quality and fit but not super rugged. It does not fit well over fording intakes, fording exhaust or tire carriers…

Differential is out. Gears look good. Ordered output bearings and seals. Housing LT bracket holes are in poor shape. Upper LT hole needs to be welded & tapped. LT lower hole has some pulled threads. Both will get inserts.
Tighten and locktight those differential bolts!

More fun.
Diff output leak cause is a fully pulled stub shaft. Looks like prior service pulled the whole shaft rather than removing the flange and could not figure out how to press the bearing in situ.
Pulling the whole diff now to inspect and repair. Hopefully the gears and housing are still in...

My prior M998 went through a pitman and idler arm in less than 2 years with casual driving. I upgraded to A2 arms + center link with new TRE. Great steering after that.

Good progress this week. Sold my other project car and got the 1151 into the garage for service this fall.
Covered tailgate chains with spare bicycle tube including required drain holes.
Spot checked front camber 0.2-0.3 degrees.

Ordered this kit today. Sheppard also sells a seal kit through commercial truck suppliers. I spoke with the supplier today regarding coverage. This kit also covers the M83P2 gear.
I spoke with Sheppard and understand they do not...
If you are sure you have an ECV/REV truck the Sheppard gears are available directly from AM General or the usual HMMWV suppliers. New expect to spend $1500-$2500 before tax and shipping.

Did you put urethane bushings in the end links?
I found that one bushing is offset in the bore on stock end links. Replacement bushings do not account for this this binding on installation.
The only way I found to make it work sub-optimally is to install the end links and bar ends first then...
Curious if anyone has attempted a rebuild/reseal. The box on my 1151 has excessive sector shaft play and leaks. Figure it’s worth a seal and sector shaft bearing.
