Ok I have another question. 0900 is too early for the family to join me and sit around all day in the infield. Can they arrive later and join us in the infield?
I ended up with the truck and after getting it running sold it to Bruce. He is now the owner and operator of the fine piece of history. I can supply some pics of the very very unique rear suspension if needed.
I had half a c clip come out of my oil pan when I first got the truck 10 years ago. 20k very hard miles later she still pulls hard and has great oil pressure. Somebody told me it looked like a part from the oil pressure relief valve. Who knows but it hasn't stopped my multi yet.
I would think this might work on a brand new tcase with brand new syncros. If you don't have a new truck I feel it beneficial to "feel" the transfer case as I shift it. Sometimes it doesn't want to just jump from hi to low and need to be finessed.
An actuator won't do that.
i also don't...
I have access to a flow bench if someone has a spare head to send me, I also have water injected the multi fuel and it did way more for power then a bigger turbo did. That's where I'd spend my money.
Try putting a new primary filter in it while your at it. Mine likes a new one every 2k miles. When they clog it runs like it's running out of fuel and after a while it will only run at half throttle and soon it dies.
As long as the level wind moves freely and the tension is set properly then it should wind the cable evenly. Is your cable kinked or twisted or unusually stiff?
