Was purusing some trucks listed by GL near me (I'm in Tennessee). Incredibly, one of the trucks is plainly and neatly stencilled recruiting for the New Jersey National Guard.
Ya' know, there is also a GL site Lakehurst NEW JERSEY.
I'm pretty sure this wasn't GL's idea to transport them down...
The fire truck hidden in the background of a photo in another thread brought on some comments - so here it is.
The first photo is of the truck as I bought it. The second photo is with restoration about 90% done. The third photo is after I had to walk away from the project for about 4 years...
This deuce (yep, its a gasser deuce) was sold by GL back in 2002 down at Montgomery, Alabama.
Hoping its resting in a yard somewhere down there.

One of the most comprehensive restorations I've done, and the subject of the very first article I had published in a magazine, was the restoration of this Studebaker M45 with LeRoi 210G1 compressor.
With the help of my dad and son, I restored the truck as close to possible to factory...
I'm not interested in buying it - but there is a truck there I'd like someone to take a look at for research purposes.
