Has to be in the governor between the throttle lever and the fuel control/shutoff lever methinks. Pop the top off the FDC. LOL@NDT hammer...

11.00X20 NDCC Tires on 9.00X20 Rims, Going on an M35A2

M34 Eager beaver was on single 11.00s. That's why the 9.00s look too small and lost in the front fenderwells.

    No start issues

If the plunger is loose in the head, it's shot. Should fit perfectly with no perceptible slop. Pretty sure this is your issue. Injector out of engine, connected to inj. line on HH - crank over. Injector should shoot a couple feet. ***Danger, over 3,000 PSI.

    Got another deuce! (Dropside!)

Managed to plug the feed to the flame heaters without jacking the engine up. Two 1” wrenches with slight different clocking/timing on the box end managed to turn a bit at a time, then fully remove and reinstall with a socket on the 9/16” compression fitting. Traded a crossmember for a winch...

    Got another deuce! (Dropside!)

Well, put batteries in it a while back and drove it around the industrial area block. She was acting like one of my wife’s essential oil diffusers with diesel on the turbo (not as pleasant as one might think) from the flame heater. Killed that as well as the one on the ‘70. Most, if not all the...

    Which engine in an M35A1?

Hello, I am an A1 nerd, as is @stb64 That is the larger LDS turbo, indeed. Figuring out if the engine is LDS 465 or 427 might be a little trickier. If the truck you have was a gasser, that would make it an M35 and it sounds like the engine came from an M35A1. Good news, most parts...

Got another deuce! M50 saved from the scrapper.

That is the lift pump that goes in the tank. The more complicated looking machinery is the hydraulic head (“distributor”) off the top of the IP.

Got another deuce! M50 saved from the scrapper.

Still have stuff to button up (injector line clamps, etc.) and lots of things to fix(axle boots, seals, brakes), but stoked to find it’s a runner and my $ wasn’t wasted. Registration might be a challenge. Hmm. More pics!

Got another deuce! M50 saved from the scrapper.

Back to this truck...I think I had my wife drag it back and forth in gear with a forklift while I tried to see if the hydraulic head plunger was plunging a while ago but never got beyond that. Got a wild hair and needed a project to focus on instead of all the craziness going on late last week...

Got another deuce! M50 saved from the scrapper.

So finally got back around to it, long quarantined weekend adventure. If I can get pics and stuff to work, full report to follow. I haven’t been around here much, kinda made the jump to bookface a few years ago. It’s nice for chatting but junk for looking back over your stuff after you forget...
