I have to know more about what you are doing with this Generator. When i watched the video seems the mufflers are larger than most of the 802/803 or 1040's that i work on. I would like to see one up close and running. enquiring minds want to know lol
i have been trying to buy one of those machines for a while. would be much cheaper to pay for them to be made. just need the stencils for the air cover on my LMTV marking the oil and trans fill, and trans dipstick. Neat machine. If someone else is offering stencils for sale let me know. the...
Temps here yesterday were -6 wind chill of -35 50 mph winds furnace kept going out due to wind down the stack. Luckily power stayed on last night and temp got up to 0 today and winds are on only 25mph. currently have the Multiquip Welder Generator hooked up on standby because my concrete pad...
mep 803a on trailer, DRASH unit, General Mechanics tool boxes, Yanmar Generator, 3-3/4 nato plug impact wrenches, Two lots of misc parts and tools have not gone through everything yet
Did you ever end up making these? My mirrors are driving me crazy can't keep them in one spot and never have a co driver for help backing, or an fancy cameras to help out.
First things first do not type in all caps its in the forum rules. Second your going to have to adjust engine speed to to maintain 60hz. Normally on small gas engines where there is no throttle adjustment 61.5 is a good setting , but with an MEP if your pulling a large load adjust accordingly
Make sure the reservoir is not cracked and leaking. Original one on my truck was plastic and cracked at the hold down bolts. When fluid returned it was a mess.
I just bought my second of those chargers. the first one i put a Nato plug on and use it to charge all of my Generators and LMTV. no problems at all with it. have not tried the second one yet.
I grew up in Indiana went to College at Eastern Kentucky University. No OSU stickers will appear on anything I own. I have a new Oil line, but could not change it due to not being able to access the engine compartment. At least the hand pump works now and with good weather i can work on some...
I decided to take the air over hydraulic pump apart again and replace the one gasket that the rebuild kit shorted me. It was in rough shape, but yet again disappointment as the pump just will not work. At this point i give up on that stupid thing. Every oring, gasket, and fluid tank has been...
Nice weather this weekend a job that I have been putting off changed out the hydraulic manifold I finally have valves that do not leak and go to the correct position. That was a tight spot to get to those hoses out and keeping track of where they go was fun. Air line fittings would not come out...

Depending on your motivation and skill level you can also take a chance like i did 1997 1078 with 3900 miles all fluids drained did not know if it runs but really studied the pictures and had it shipped from tex to Ohio and turned into a pretty good truck that just needs parts changed due to...
