Amazing how many mechanical uses that baby powder can be used. My first 16" split rim that I mounted many moons ago, Pop showed me that and I thought he was silly. I still mount all my tires except for auto's. Last pair were 13.6x28 for my tractor, when it was still warm out.
Thanks rustystud...
Why not use rivets? That is what was there? Or rivet, bolt on some aluminum plate. That is part of the character of the 1045A2.
What if you use pan head screws or bolts.
I would try and replicate the armor or the add on equipment package.
Considering the wing loading in flight I am awed every time one flies. The shape and design, thickness of the wing makes me think that there is no way to get airborne.
I would guess that the airframe will be another that will be around for some time. Especially for the mission it was designed for.
I agree with biohydrix and grab from front. Kind of tall, but can still do it from rear.
I look at the machine and it does not look 5000lb to me. 2000lb yes but what do I know.
Air up the tires, grab with front loader, use back hoe for counter balance.
We also take the excavator bucket off to lose weight. And by taking bucket off gives more lifting ability by being closer to the knuckle where the bucket was. And height advantage, up close to the machine where it has max ability to lift.
Using a backhoe as a lifting, excavating machine is what the machine is designed for. The mechanical advantage is limited by the weight of the machine and the lever to which when extended is reduced by distance of the center pivot point. The farther you are away the less amount of weight that...
The fuse box at the bulkhead has inside a black gunk that is suppose to act like a weather proof coating, keep water from corroding the contact surfaces.
If you have checked the power wire all the way to the bulkhead connector, fuse box, and have power to there then no power inside the cab in...
Yes be concerned for children because of the development of their bodies.
Do not breath or in ingest.
No need to bow to my experience, but I worked for a lead abatement contractor and if you do it by legal federal standards well you paint over it to encapsulate it. Or for removal you use a...
Indeed this will be Good. I can not wait to see how much equipment still exists in Europe and other theaters.
And to see that it rusts somewhere else is sorrowful. Someone's loss is someone else's gain, hopefully the parts and vehicles are used somehow besides scrap. :tank:
I do see the process being talked about. I responded to joels post about clutch linings being salvaged. And I posted about time involved and labor used as an economic perspective. Brakes are easier to access :shrugs:than replacing a clutch assembly. And seen that posters were doing well at...
