Hello All, I suppose the roofs being removed from the 11XX Slant Backs is because of some new classification that they are armor and thus must now be demiled? Does anyone have the scoop? At first I thought this was the state of California saying you cant sell an armored vehicle in our state...

I like the tires. They're a little wide at 15.5 but I got a great price on them so I couldnt pass it up. Next tire purchase I may get the 13.5 version.

My tires are 40x15.5r20. I think its user preference. Some people prefer the spring setup while others prefer discs and puck lift. The ride MAY be better with the spring lift method but I have no idea.

I have a 1045a2. No idea on the difference in springs between models.

No new springs or spacers. 2 in discs and 2 inch body lift kit. Ride is the same to me. The 40in Mud Grapplers are loud but I can barely hear them over the sound of the Hmmwv enging/tranny.

The hoses don't run next to the manifold? Hmm guess I need a pic to see that. Seems my hoses have been that way since receipt. Interesting.

I guess either no one else has this issue or is unaware of it.

6.5 Non Turbo

Does anyone else have this strange issue? The [engine] oil cooling line(s) rests on one of the exhaust pipes coming off the engine. The line was being melted through by the heat of the exhaust pipe. I wrapped it in heat resistant material but I thought this was insane. Has anyone else looked...

Hello Lothar, You are not alone in your frustration with the RAAMS Mobile doors. I purchased the X Door version from Midwest Military Equipment. These dealers dont support the product, they just sell them as fast as they can. Many are no longer selling the doors due to these types of issues...

I guess I dont understand why the standard armor setup wont work for you: Its out there if you look for it. Certain this will stop ANY .223/5.56 round with the possible exception of blacktip which is rare.

Is the wide overlay roof armored? Will the aluminum roof under it fit the 1045A2? If so, this may be a viable option to eliminate the need for a turret support. Does anyone have dimensions for the under roof?
