Would no make white smoke at idle, that is not burn fuel from getting injected before piston reach the top of the stroke , of course if it was lite grey to blueish then is not enough fuel which would indicated some IP problem, also keep in mind however did the IP can set the timing on the stand...
It maybe the Injection timing is retarded, turn the pump towards the drivers side about 1/8 inch , should take care of white smoke at idle and make it a little better all around....
Its being a long time since i did this plus i sold it with the tractor, its a strait deal and there its lots of info here on how to make one all you need is the pin out from a military plug to a civic one and just need some type of voltage step down in between, i seen military ones go on sale...

Ok great , will feed the bottom of the pump with my tank and filter then from there to the HEAD, i figured fuel going to the bottom of the pump had a purposed , so there most be type a internal booster pump, thank you for the info......
