Would no make white smoke at idle, that is not burn fuel from getting injected before piston reach the top of the stroke , of course if it was lite grey to blueish then is not enough fuel which would indicated some IP problem, also keep in mind however did the IP can set the timing on the stand...

Or you are sucking oil some where...., but white smoke at idle is late injection on the stroke have funnnnnnnnnn

If is not head gasket , then bump it some more , you may have a lot play on your timing chain , you not going to hurt....

Just move it , you will see the smoke go away...

Maybe be off that saturday...

It maybe the Injection timing is retarded, turn the pump towards the drivers side about 1/8 inch , should take care of white smoke at idle and make it a little better all around....
