With some background in electrical winch's I would have 2 batteries on hand(12V in your setup) (all in all you will end up with 4 on the truck) for a lot of winch time which is what you are doing.
thanks for the info bjorn. I am just about to plumb in my arctic coolant heater and that is the one system that didn't come with the install instructions.
I have to agree with this point, to me it's the same as using a std vehicle to jump a deuce. You simply connect the jumper cables from your POV to each battery separately. even when the deuce cracks up and runs and you still have the POV connected nothing special happens, it works perfectly...
I can move these trucks for both of you in the same trip. would cost each of you 900 and would need a dock to load and unload them. I have a dock in columbia to load so that end is taken care of.
it would cost you about 1800 for me to do it. can it be driven? I have someone in atl that can drive it to you for about 1k.
I can also pick it up and store it in atl for you for about 200, till you figure out what you want to do.
would be neat if the bed was able to be removed with the crane kinda like the trucks with roll off beds. lift it off and remount the 5th wheel if needed.
what you going to do with the old rear winch, pom me if you want to sell it.
I bought my hmmwv out of CO and took the title to my DMV office and they stamped it "Off Road use Only" handed it back and said they would not register it in Ga. Had the Vin inspection already in hand as I've dealt with them many times before.
I put 2 block heaters in my 6.2L. She is warm to the touch all the way up the valve cover in 20deg weather. no rattle can sounds and no smoke when it lights off. If I start it without the heaters it sounds like it's going to come apart, lots of rattling and clanking and aweful sounds.
