The M2 is a TNW gun. I bought it second owner. In SC driving with your weapon concealed is illegal, with it in plain sight is not. I just keep it in very plain sight.
kascar has one for sale if you can swap your house for it. I believe all the brush trucks I've seen are civ trucks. haven't seen a converted m998 but I'm sure they are out there.
I do like the ECV nose, it moves the hood out of the way further bc the hinge point is moved. I like it.
I love the LED headlights(and the rest of them), nothing like it. they aren't as bright as you might think, but they are super bright and very clear.
I do have the CTIS working and it...
ya I have a real M2HB that sits in it's proper place. Even went to own to go to lunch with it up there. Didn't get anything but very strange looks from a lot of people.
what is it you don't like about them other than the cost and finding a set.
how did you put a military 24V light kit on the 12v truck?
so the hood is raised 3" and the rest of the truck 2" how does that look? how did you fix the steering rod and lift hooks for the lift?
any build pics? did you have to do a body lift like the Alpha? 12 volt conversion?
I put the alpha hubs and 12.1 driveline in mine for the thought of a duramax later on.
I am running one with great success. The accel loss between 4th and 5th is not much at all. My truck still has plenty of power to move right thru the wider gears. I am also running 1100's on my truck.
Imagine running 60ish mph and 2300rpms. I can run above 65mph and still have lots to...
1. it's not that expensive
2. you get a rebuilt trans in the end
3. there is only about 8 inches between the trans and xcase in deuce and your 205 wont fit and still leave room for the u joints.
4. there is no way that 205 will take the abuse it was never designed for in a backwards...
I don't think you want to plug the holes in the block. I would loop the lines so you get flow thru them.
it seems to me that if the lines were blocked then you would not be circulating oil thru the system. maybe there is some sort of bypass that would make this a nonissue but I don't think so.
you will want to make sure your lever is turned as far clockwise as it can be and then remove the lever and reinstall it where it will then mate up to your pushrod from the pedal. you can be pretty far off and still be able to adjust it with the rod end. I think you have about an inch or 1.5...
james may from top gear made an entire TV show out of his ride on the U2. its on youtube if you search for it. very very cool stuff, coming from an ATP pilot myself.
