    M818 W/M348A2 MO to TX

Wow, I hope your pride is ok as well. I think you chose wisely but the minds of pretend commuters is well at best terrible. With all the distractions that go on when the primary is to be in control at all times while driving. Of course the emptyhead did not stop? And take the blame for being a...

    M818 W/M348A2 MO to TX

What a test of fortitude. Sure is fun when mileage goes by, but the bugs on the front glass get to be a chore to see through at night. The Quest continues. :driver:

Well shucks I missed it. I am a mile from the Festus pickup point. Never seen the truck. Good Luck

    Mystery bolt

Does not belong in the converter area. I can not see it to clear but maybe from the front pump on the transmission. Doubtful as hex head bolts are used.

Cable cutters to stop starter run on?

All I do is keep the neg cable snug enough to pull off in case of runaway. I will place inline battery disconnect switch at some point. They cost from 20.00 bucks up to 130.00. I just replaced the relay with new one even though the one that was there looked new anyway. Do not overtax the relay...

My answer to my 15 year old 37x12.50x16.5's

I have to agree that some kind of flat paint covering the civilian shine would be appropriate.

Looks to me that you have a little leverage with the young one. Family Quality time, I am sure that you can find a place to have a Motor Pool close by. Welcome, and for me the front on the 211 is cool. Was that a hardtop in the first picture?

    6.2L piston rod side play

Having clearance, as in side to side movement of connecting rods is more when engine is cold. When engine gets hot the connecting rods expand closing up tolerance. Using a feeler gage the clearance is between rods at .007-.025,. Now that engine is worn that clearance will be more, but the...

    CUCV Dually

There is nothing wrong with using spacers. What are you going to use the truck for? Street driving, 90% of the time. A little hauling or towing, or just using as a truck to drive or use when needed. Tread design you should consider for what the truck will be used for. You can buy a deep mud...

Has this happened to anyone? (oil cooler lines)

One thing to look at is the ground strap between the engine and the firewall. Second ground at the engine to the battery, to the core support. As chevymike has said when all grounds fail then the brake lines act as a ground and get smoking hot. I have seen it happen. I have seen oil cooler...

intake gaskets for 1992 6.2 diesel

If you do not own any line wrenches now is a good time to invest in some before you round off flare nuts on the injector lines. Clean and keep clean, dirt is your enemy here or anywhere there is fuel going into any fuel line. Do not twist off lines. If one seems to be rusted up put some...

Ok, another "what's it worth" question?

If the truck is there, altogether, offer up 500.00. Every part of the country has a price point for parts alone. Only you can decide what the value is to you. But do not let the fever get you. Decide if the truck is worth a rebuild or for parts. If you are deciding to get the truck mobile then...

    Flywheel to Torque converter?

I will look in shop manual for the reference as I remember same but never a reason for. Having replaced several 6.2 transmissions and 6 bolt converters, engine replacements, I make sure dowel pin is there, flexplate is not cracked, blue Loctite is on threads of all bolts, and bolt flexplate up...
