Every time I have come across a cb with a loose connection it was in the mic cable.
Try going to a nearby truckstop and getting a new mic. Just make sure you can take it back if it doesn't fix it.
Some of mine came with 11r20 stock. they work great for rockygravel roads. The tread looks like highway tread but works good off road. Some m35's came with "x" series that have argessive offroad tread. There are alot of people that put larger tires on their trucks, mostly to help with the top...
I had a tire shop in Houston fix a flat on an old 1969 dodge D50 I used to have. At first they quoted a crazy price but after talking to them they went down to $30.00. The difference was taking the truck to their shop and waiting around for someone to get to them instead of having a service...
Aluminum and steel don't mix. When the two are together they can create very small electric currents that will cause corrosion. I would have a local machine shop magnaflux both parts. If the machine shop says they are good after testing them I wouldn’t give it a second thought.

I looked at them. The 24v breaker would kick every time you turned them to the prime setting. Disconnected fuel pumps - no more blown breaker. I tried hooking them up one at a time with generator on. Every time they would spark and blow the breaker. The only thing I can figure is maybe someone...
You should never spray anything except ether into the air filter.
Silicone lubricant is ok if you remove the air filter. Be sure to make sure the spray is flammable first. I won't go into the details of how I found out some are not flammable...
You may want to start with the air filter. If it...
When I registered mine the DMV couldn't figure ouy how to put the number thing in their computer so I went with plates.
They offered to try to figure it out by calling Austin again...
I would see what you can get together and make them a cash offer. If he is transfered he may be eager to sell. He is making money on the deal but I don't know how much he put into it after he bought it. Usually the hardest part is getting the title.
I am waiting for several SF97s from GL myself...
That’s the "old" law. The police here seem to know about it but it was an experience at the DMV. They had to call Austin and it took a couple of trips. They were very nice and seemed to just want to make sure they did the registration right.
The hard part was finding the forms...
The truck is looking nice!
Instead of a fuel can on the drivers step you should look into an extra tank where the spare tire goes. It would seriously extend your range and let you carry an extra 5gal of water instead.
I would keep it very simple on the EUC. The more you put the longer it will take. Your first one will take longer than you expect.
If you want you might call GL and talk with them after you win and recieve the notice but before you send it in. If they need revisions it can add weeks to the wait.
You might find a RV storage facility near the pickup and store it till October - November when it will be cool outside.
Its hard to believe but fall / winter will get here in just a couple of months and we will all be complaining about the cold...
You should logon to your account and make sure the EUC status says "sent to battle creek" ASAP.
Once that happens there is no way to speed things up. you just have to wait...
Make sure you get a clear title! You will have problems if you buy from a private party and use a sf97 or government title transfer. If there is no title you can't get one in Texas on a military vehicle unless you are the one that buys it from the Government and you have a sf97 in your name.
Stick with a 3rd party that will let you start the truck and show you how to drive it. GL is good if you wan't to buy an extra parts truck. a M35 should be fine in Austin. Regular drivers license and regular auto insurance are usually fine.
A 5ton will require a class B drivers license because a...
