Here's another idea I have had floating around my head for some time after a posting from Ryan (RMGill) several months back along with photos of another members own building on his truck.
Thread...
Kenny brought the idea of manufacturing replacement winch plates to my attention, my first thought was to make them thicker but he suggested I try a poll and see what you guys would want... (he likes givin me stuff to build cause ya know me... im always at a shortage of projects to work on) :D
Guys I need a A3 wheel... Anyone have a single they have picked up or found laying around that ya can part with? Or of you cant part with it can I rent it for a few months and you can have it back???
Ok yet another filter thread but this is the end of the road for mine... Due to the numerous threads on the subject and their bouncing back and fourth about methods, ideas and thoughts Im starting a new one rather than trying to pick up in the tail end of something else...
Let me start with a...
After seeing what the GA boys have been up to this past fall I've been considering a meet some time in later Feb before it gets to hot.
My father (a avid forum wall fly) has 100 acres plus in west Orlando which would be prefect for a weekend get together / trail ride / BBQ / camp out / what...
I was able to get the hinge modification for M series trucks posted in the TA section today... If your looking to improve the functioning of tight door hinges or looking to quiet the squeaks and rattles of hood hinges this would be a good review...
I seem to be the one brining this up every 2 or 3 months but I feel rather obligated as a fellow member... Mike, Chris, and whomever else is involved wiith the site don't ask for nor make money from the site... Their very much about the hobby and keeping the site it free to all whom come which...
I am getting ready to do the plumbing on my Deuce's second tank and was debating the need for a vent line between the two tanks.
I am using a 24V external fuel pump which will be frame mounted and controlled by a toggle switch in the cab. One of the line taps in the top of the tank now has a...
Well what I thought was a good pump is not... I guess the rotor veins are to far gone and I can not build up pressure so I am hunting a pump if anyone has one available from a LDS shoot me a PM please.
I have a few more gaskets and seal to swap out but I have a question about the air piston seal in the front of the TC... The bolts are looking really close to the cross member as is the unit... Can that be pulled in the frame or should I fly that thing out while the cab is off to do it?
I am gearing up for the axle drop on my truck, I have promised Ken the spare tires but I will have the bogie set up and 1 axle to spare if anyone is in need or is in want of the parts and pieces?
Sale, trade, boat anchor, swap, gimme... Speak now or hold your piece when the mess starts hitting...
Well... here I go again with my silly little questions...
Yesterday while a Ken's whining and pissing about windshield seals and the likes I was bouncing my ideas off of him for sealing up and getting rid of the glass frames and so on so that my windshields were fixed into place... He...
Ok... Im gonna ask but I know 10 of you are going to whip out pictures of some 22" giants or something that could double as a boat anchor... and half of you have your minds in the gutter at the moment but what I would like to know is what size blocks would be appropriate for a deuce?
I went to get the Deuce this weekend and ended up having to abort the mission due to head gasket failure... I will post more about that in a bit with pics but while I have these heads off I want to drill and mount my EGT in the manifold...
My question is where??? I know it is some what a...
Since everyone is to LAZY to post PN's in the cross reference section *HINT HINT HINT*...
Does anyone know the after market numbers for U joints on the Deuce? Any or all... axle, drive shafts, stub shafts, wench drive shaft, etc, etc ,etc?
I am looking to run 395 85 20 on my truck, I had fully intended to buy 20" bead lock wheels but I am getting into a pinch for money with everything I am doing so I am eyeing M135 rims as a temporary fix up but I am worried about size, back space, etc.
395's require 20X10" rims..... M135 rims...
As usual I am up to no good...
I am working on laying out my dash but am lacking a key ingredient for measurements.... which would be THE TRUCK!!!
If someone could help I need to know how much clearance I have to work with behind the dash where the "fluid check/shift pattern" plate...
I renamed this thread due to bouncing from doors to sheet metal to this to that and so on... Sorry for any confusion...
I am in the process of shaving door handles and installing power windows for the Deuce... (yes I know im'a nut) I purchased a second door for doing mock up work so I don't...
