Not quite.
In the older 3 wire range and dryer outlets they used to share the same conductor for neutral and ground. Definitely not ideal, nor the best practice, but as indicated above it was going to be replaced with a proper 4wire cable. It will work, but shouldnt be used unless...
thats the timing mark for the pump, if its spinning then your shaft is good. If you are still not seeing any fuel coming out of the output lines then the pump may be internally gummed up. If it were me id seek a diesel engine shop to rebuild the pump.
Theres an access plate on the side of the pump. You can remove that and see if the pump is turning over. Fuel goes here so be ready for that

I would advise against using it. You would be better off installing a quick backfeed directly to the panel.
But if you are going to have to do it for a temporary emergency feed, then leave the bonding strap installed.
leaving the strap disconnected without a 4 wire feed leaves you open to...
Ok. So tee in a conduit is not good, should have been a junction box. Since you are relying on the house bond the generator is not a separately derived system. In english, dont drive the ground rod. 6/3 nm uses a smaller ground wire (#8) and if you do that you are essentially adding another rod...
60 kw at 480 is 60 kw at 600
Voltage primary/voltage secondary= amprage secondary/amperage primary if you're interested in the formula. Or you can solve by wattage. Remember there is a difference between kw and kva

Transformer is definitely the way to go. At that point will you even need a generator? Not sure where you intend to run this, but if you have 480 available and a large enough service you shouldn't need a generator at all

side note, where is that 12-2 romex coming from?
as for splicing 6 yes it can be spliced, they do make big wirenuts but your better off with split bolys or polaris lugs.
So now that I have time to get on the computer, there are some answers needed.
1 do you plan to ever put it back on the trailer or will it live in the shed?
2 how do you plan on connecting the nm cable to the inlet?
3 Grounding!! Have to make sure you didnt double bond.
Now lets go over your install. you mentioned a backfeed so I'm gonna assume you are hooking up to your house. Your backfeed breaker can be as large as you want, as long as it matches the rating of the wire between the breaker and the inlet. the generators overcurrent protection will...
