I had the pleasure of installing a SINCGARS Radio and mount into a M900 series 5Ton. It's the same mount can be used for all series 5tons, but i'm not sure if it'll interfere with shifting. The mount sits over the seat where the middle passenger would be. there's a brace that comes up from the...

I think my duece sat for 10+ years( accounting for how far the cab and fuel tank were rusted out ) and all i needed was fresh batteries and file the points clean and Vroom it ran and smoked, but it ran smooth.. smooth and loud.. no exaust past the cab.. more rust thru.. :beer...
Here's a novel idea.. how about using pea gravel to shake up inside the tank to loosen the rust and bring it back down to steel?? We used to do it that way to clean out pot belly stoves after they sat around all summer rusting up. Made a nice noiser that drove our SGT up the wall LOL Life as a...

Not all dueces are being left. from what i understood while i was there, if a unit was getting refitted with LMTV's coming back, then they transferred their dueces to AMC for distro to the Iraq Army. I wish i could have gotten pictures of two duece gun trucks the Estonians had.. .
Here are some pictures of a duece struck by a roadside bomb in Iraq. It was already being stripped for parts when i found it resting in the rear of a motorpool.

I think there was an article in PS magazine about it, but i'm not sure. It was a mass change over for all...
The military switched to an air line switch because the hydralic switch could possibly be knocked off during off road operations. it must have happened for PS magazine to cover the subject so many times *L*

The 3 point seat belts have a long pieces of steel added...
The ESP program is mostly for the National Guard now. When i was stationed in the Tx Guard in 2001, the y had a shop set up in the Dallas area CSMS to convert A2 to A3 Dueces. I don't know if the program is still active. When i deployed in 2004 with the LA ARNG to Iraq, there was a handful of...
