Re: RE: gasser parts
By the way, I could use the hood too.
:nothingfunny:
When I go down to Louisiana next month, I'll see what goodies I have stashed inside my truck.
Joel,
My PM is acting wierd, anyway, here's my wish list
Front Bumper w/ gussets
Rear wire harness
hose from air monifold to air gage
hose from fuel pump to frame
windshield frame
parking brake handle and mounting hardware
floor panel over transmission (center section)
fuel tank
I'm sure...
Joel,
My list is long, I'll PM it to you. How long is the truck going to be around before disposal? I'm sure some of the stuff would be easier for me to pickup rather than ship.
Re: RE: Old topic-new question
I think the M35A3 TM has pictures of the new style airpack. Both airpacks hook up the same if my memory serves me right.
Jon,
I think that's the stuff we used to coat our soft tops and tents with each year. I can't remeber what the stuff was, but we used street brooms to spread the stuff with. I know it was some kind of canvas sealer.
As for electric wipers, if you can afford them, they're a big improvemnt over...
Here are the technical drawings from uncle sam on adding electric wipers to the duece. The system was designed for the M35A3, but this is a kit to retrofit it to the A2/A1's and gassers. I have pictures of the main parts, but don't remeber where i put the camera. They will be uploaded soon.
RE: wiper blades/arms
Adam,
There's an electric wiper conversion for the duece too. It uses the wiper motor and wiper arms from the military Hummer. I have yet to install it on my duece, so I'll take some pictures of it and post them up. I don't know if the kit is avalible on the market yet, I...
The only dueces I have seen with the split brake system were air force dueces. The M35A3 uses the exact same setup, except the the fluid reservoir is located on the fire wall where the air filter sits on the A2. These are Bendix part numbers. A2 - 2232693 Master Cylinder w/ Resivoir. A3...
The master cylinder is simular to what GM uses on thier Medium Duty Trucks, Motorhomes. I was going to do the split air setup while working for a GM Meduim Truck shop, but was deployed to Iraq and decieded to stay on active duty until I hit atleast the 20 yr mark, maybe longer ;) The...
It'd be easier to do it with the tranny in the truck.
1. drain tranny
2. remove plate
3. install pto
4. check clerance ( back lash )
5. install shift linkage and shaft
6. refill transmission
that's about it cut and dry. the clearance is ajusted by diffrent shims/ gaskets.
it's also been...
Ken,
Who and where are these pipes?? my front pipe looks like swiss cheeses *L* Gotta love them gassers
