A nice M101A3 trailer box would fit right on the back for a useful pickup truck style.. It will have the wide fenders for the double tires too. I have seen worse come back to fighting shape.. But I agree a bigger can of WD-40, PB blaster, Kroil oil and mystery oil should be on your shopping list..:D
Looking to have a load picked up at Ft Bragg, NC and hauled to northern Michigan. A 16' car trailer and pick up will do it. PM me for details. Thank you
Note the date on this Chuck! I always have a plan.. That tank was delivered via SS train and then hijacked at Haspin.. I dont know if AM ever did get it back..
I have a WC52 that is in the care of Bigelk50 out in Oregon.. Long story short I need to get it somewhere safe until I could get it this fall when I go out on a duck hunting trip or maybe just get it hauled back to Michigan via the northern route through Montana, North Dakota, Wisconsin to...
It sounds like you might have a bad relay in the control box. Or maybe the start switch? Somewhere your loosing good power "bad connection"to the starter. Check the power output at the switch both in and out. If you have good power out of the switch trace it to the box and so on.. Starter wiring...
Ok so if the motor turns free I would then check all your wires and connections on the control box for corrosion. It the funny shiny box with a tube thing plugged in the top.If I remember right the power goes through that and then to the starter. Also check the ground from the battery this could...
Pull the spark plugs and look down the cylinders with a small flashlight. See if you have corrosion on the cylinder walls or valves.. If the unit has sat for a long time water will leak down the exhaust stack and sit in the cylinders.. Put some trans fluid down them or Marvels Mystery oil and...
:ditto: to 1st deuce. The Heavy 3/4 ton rating is based on extreme off road conditions. On a flat surface double that. Some of the newer A2's have a 1.5 ton rating with a extra leaf in the springs and taller thicker frame rails. I have maxed out a few older M101's with fire wood and they still...
I have a 98 heavy 3/4 ton GMC with the Vortec 350.. Whats the weight on that trailer? You have any pictures of this trailer? Good tires on it and electric brakes? You got me thinking now..
As for the 101 trailers they still sold real cheap compared to the old days.. I remember when you might...
Anybody live near FT Cambell, TN or just north of it? I have 4 M101A2 trailers to get off base and back to Michigan. I can only haul two at a time home so I would like to get the other two off base so I can come back on a weekend or my own time schedule. If you live near there and don't mind a...
Check where the throttle linkage goes through the injector pump.. Mine started leaking there. Its a Teflon bushing that tends to wear out. Its a pain in the butt to pull the pump and rebuild it but it might be due..
