    BTR-40 questions

Very cool bit of history. When I was in the Golan in 89, the Syrians still used a bunch of these.

    Wtb m548 cargo carrier

The Canadian Lynx was produced by FMC and has nothing in common with an M75. There are a few in private hands but in 16 years, I've only ever seen two listed and they were ex-Dutch army and still in Holland.

    New V-100

Note the pumps in that photo are not even running or you'd see the water pouring out. Properly prepared, I think they are a lot more water tight than one would think.

    Help with H1 purchase

The problem I have seen with H1 is all the sellers thing like Harley and Corvette owners; even though there are tons out there, they all think theirs is something entirely special, and hence worth more than it is.

    M1009 gun truck

Need info about V100 wheels. HELP!

V-100 wheels are for 14:00x20 tires, have a centered offset, and the same bolt pattern as the M35. They are also made of unobtainium.

    What is a "restoration"?

"Restoration" is a broad term and without a method of gaging it, can mean anything from cleaning off the mud to a full rebuild better than the factory ever realized. I've seen both extremes in the MV hobby. The car hobby has a host of terms; off-frame, factory-authorized, etc., that all aid. But...

    Military miniatures, and Stealth

"Russian version of our own stealth Bomber" Hardly. First off, this is an air superiority fighter, not a bomber. Second, the Russians are quite capable of building their own aircraft using their own designs and have been doing so for many decades. This is a fact as recognized by the DOD and...

German Army issue antenna for the SEM-25 radio

You just need to purchase/borrow a tuning unit and modify it length to correct tuning range.

I often wondered about this conversion!

That engine worked just fine in the SOCOM Jeep TJ I owned last year. 28mpg at 70mph all day long. Plenty of beans on hill off-road. It's gearing and torque that count, not horsepower.

    Its time but im undecieded..

The 3rd. axle easily disperses the added weight. In fact a bobbed truck would be more likely to get stuck in sand.

    Isreali Defence force Jeep

The IDF currently uses a really cool domestic version: Israel military Jeep Storm M240 Mk2

BRDM2 cost shipped to the US?

Very simple. 1. File an ATF Form 6 on the vehicle you wish to import. It's free and seldom any problem. 2. Upon approval- usually 90 days- the vehicle can be shipped. The seller must have export approval at his end. In the UK, it is just a technicality. Have the seller be certain the vehicle is...

BRDM2 cost shipped to the US?

If you want to save money, why on earth would you hire someone to do what you can do yourself? I've imported 12 armor vehicles. It's not rocket science.

BRDM2 cost shipped to the US?

Depends upon many factors. Where is it located, and what is the port of destination? Does it run? Are you using a RORO?

    RT524 PRC77 GRC-160 Range info HELP

You are going to get different opinions because there are so many variables. One you did not mention is the receiver and their setup? No matter what setup you use, they do not compare with modern equipment for a fraction the weight and trouble, so don't expect miracles. Be aware, too, the legal...
