I think you are right, Rory. Having owned 18 armored vehicles and working with tens more, it is certainly one of my favorite thing about the V-100. Not only is it hugely simple by armor standards, there is room to spare for everything. It is not all crammed into every corner.

Ever seen an OT-64 in the real? Nothing low about it. Its a big machine. As for it being a bargain; after purchase, shipping to US, service, and 3 mpg, I'm not so sure. And when you have to have any parts shipped from Cz, if you can find them, whoa. Without a war history, it will not appreciate...

The H3 is an even bigger joke than the H2. Built on the Colorado frame, the H3 does nothing well except look stupid. If the Chinese want it, go for it.

I would love to see that photo, Rory, if you can locate. I saw an M-113 in Israel that was destroyed by a .50 in PLO hands during the Lebanon campaign. Swiss cheese....

Safe to say, a .50 will chew up anything pre-2000 on wheels. Without added armor, even a tracked Bradley and Warrior would have serious problems.

The detailing is super, but the XM-706E1 had full bench seats on each side. Only the USAF XM-706E2 had the flip down seats. Carbs were never painted black- too hard to find leaks.

emr, in my limited experience, drifting occurs with way too much pressure. It causes the tire to run only on the narrow center part of the tread and just drifts around. I had this on 14x20 ND bar grip tires.
