Oldman99, Iam sure Danial will post up when he sees this but they stayed in the camper at the Ga Rally. They did a great job on it and it was nearly completed. Still some small stuff to do like the final painting. You are correct in stating that they are a fine couple as I have had the...
Welcome from east Ga!! Wrecker is right, start making plans to come to the Ga Rally, you will meet a lot of fine folks, have lots of fun and enjoy some great eating. Wreckers possum is outstanding.:-D
I have two alternaters that need voltage regulaters and have been looking for a source. Saw an ad in the Auto Restorer magazine about a place that could find most any part for old starters and generaters. I contacted them and he had to hunt but found them. He found them at CME in Fl which we...
Welcome aboard!!! Maybe you should'nt give up so soon. Spend a few days with us and re-kindle that interest. I can promise you that you will have a blast.
About 4 posts were added while I was typing. I will add one more thing, over the road tractors have a disconnect between the tandems, this is to keep the gears from fighting each other and also to minimize tire wear. But without lockers only one wheel on each axle will turn unless the...
FMJ's question was answered. Both axles are powered at all times. But you could have any combination of wheels spinning, left front and right rear, both on the same side or right front and left rear. It is the nature of a differinial to drive the wheels with the least resistance, so...
Bottleworks, is the rectifier a separate part or is it in the voltage regulater assembly. I have been searching for info quite awhile today. I don't remember seeing a listing for rectifier in the parts breakdown.
My Duece starting draining the batterys several weeks ago. When I disconect a battery cable and touch it back to the post I get a little spark. I started disconnectiog things until the spark went away. It seems the alternater is the problem. I replaced it with a take out I got from papabear...
If I was closer I would make it. As it is I have been asked to lead the after midnight golf cart ride with my M151 mutt. After bringing in the new year we will head out with a bunch of friends on dirt roads close to my house. We will ride a short distance on dirt roads and then take up trails...
Lets see. 300000 pounds divided by 500 pounds per bale of cotton would be 600 bales. I think I would have to have an over highth permit for that load.
Your best bet is probably to get another transmission. That will be cheaper in the long run most likely. I got one for my Mutt several years ago for $100.00. If you were closer I have two transmissioms that could have the parts you need. The one in my Mutt was apart in a bucket when I bought...
My 813 did the same thing. When we put air in the tank to prime it heard a pop under the hood. A dirt dauber had stopped up the end of the tank vent under the hood. Ran a little and pulled a vaccum on the tank and quit running. Once vent was clear ran fine.
I had three NOS rings only, no attaching hardware and I got $700.00 each for them. Two were shipped by the SS express but the third was trucked to Washington St from Ga to the tune of $420.00 and the guy was glad to get it.
The grinding sounds like the syncos are worn out and not matching rotating speeds for a smooth engagement. If that is the case double clutching should allow it to go into second. Try the semi-truck shifting method and see if it will go in. Shift into neutral from first, release the clutch and...
